Every colour has a story… 💜

Broadford Bay takes its name from one of Skye’s oldest and most vibrant villages. Meaning “the wide bay” in Old Norse, it’s a place steeped in history! and now, the inspiration behind one of our favourite shades.

A fresh lilac with a cool grey undertone, perfect for creating calm, characterful interiors.

🎨 Even a small colour shift can have a big impact! 🎨

White walls do nothing for me… I feel like I have no connection with white walls ever since I was an art student when all our studios were white… blank spaces waiting for you to create something in them. Also as I’m getting older I find sunlight on white walls really uncomfortable for my eyes so I knew the white had to go in our home. Our hallway is tall and spans a large area over three floors… it only has one small window in its whole space so we needed to keep it light and bright so we can see where we are going… I wanted to tone the white down and inject a bit of warmness… so this timeless beige is surprisingly perfect for the space… I know… me choosing beige who would have thought! But it gives a good connection between the colours I’m using elsewhere and adds a touch of warmth.

Check out the before and afters to see the impact even a small shift in colour can make.

📢 A wee heads up!

We’ll have a slight change to our opening hours this weekend while we prepare for our annual stock take.

🕗 Friday: Open 8:00am – 1:00pm
🚪 Saturday: Closed for stock take preparation.

We’ll be back to normal as usual afterwards.

Bedroom transformation underway 👀

My 20 year-old had completely outgrown this room, so we’re giving it a more grown-up look.

The old feature wall is gone, the painting has started, and we’re adding a gorgeous textured feature wall that changes the whole feel of the space.

Not quite finished yet, but I couldn’t wait to share the progress.
