Feeling incredibly blessed to celebrate another year of life and this year I feel even more blessed to be celebrating with all of my book besties 💋

I’m loving every bit of my 30’s, this decade has been all about growth, self-discovery, strengthening my relationship with Jesus and unapologetically living life on my own terms. From moments of sadness to moments of pure happiness, I’m am so grateful.

I can’t wait to see what 33 brings! Cheers to continuing to loving my 30s and making the most of every day! 🥂

stepping into a little gothic fairytale 🕯️🥀🤍

there’s something about mystery, old theatres, and hidden secrets that I can never resist.

as someone who has always loved The Phantom of the Opera, this one feels like it was made for me. Phantom has been one of my all-time favorites for years, and I still feel so lucky that I got to see it on Broadway before it closed permanently. 🎭

I also adore Erin Craig’s writing and will honestly read anything she writes, so getting to combine her storytelling with the atmosphere of one of my classic favorites is pretty much the perfect combination. 🖤

I don’t even know how to put my feelings about this book into words because I AM IN SHAMBLES. 😭🖤

Rachel Gillig has once again created a world that completely swallowed me whole. The gothic atmosphere, the cathedral, the magic, the mystery, the characters… I was completely captivated from beginning to end. There’s just something about the way she builds her worlds that makes them feel so magical and enchanting. 🕯️📖🌙

And BARTHOLOMEW. 🗿

My sweet little gargoyle. He was so cute and funny. I adored every single moment he was on the page. He completely stole my heart. 🩶

But Rory… oh, Rory. ❤️‍🔥

I am OBSESSED with this man. Completely. Utterly. Unwell about him. The more I got to know him, the more attached I became, and by the end I was just sitting there like, “Well… this is my personality now.” ✨💀

I loved the unraveling of the story, the eerie atmosphere, the little mysteries, the magic, the slow-burn romance, the witty banter, and all those tiny details that made this world feel so magical and immersive. It was exactly the kind of dark, dreamy fantasy I adore. 🖤

And then came the ending…..THE HEARTBREAK. 💔

Rachel Gillig really said, “Oh, you’re having a wonderful time? How about I absolutely DESTROY you?” Because WHAT WAS THAT?! I finished the last page at 2 AM with my heart shattered, and honestly… why was I even surprised?! My spidey senses had been tingling the whole time and I IGNORED THEM. 🫯

I kicked my feet giggling. I swooned. I got attached. I fell in love with a gargoyle & a bad knight… and then I got my heart broken.

So naturally… five stars. No hesitation.

This book has officially taken up residence in my brain, and I fear Rory and Bartholomew are going to be there for a VERY long time. 🖤🕯️🩶

On to book two immediately. ✨📖

@rmgillig, you have my love and loyalty forever. You are officially a forever auto-buy author for me ♥️
