Peak festival moment Friday with Turnstile. Couldn’t have set the bar higher for the rest of the weekend. 🙌

Last night @bondio @freedomfilmllc and I went across from Manhattan to photograph the lights which shine up from the cavities in the ground where the twin towers once stood.
I can vividly remember getting ready for school sitting on the edge of my parents bed in 2001 as an 11 year old not fully understanding what I was watching when the two towers came down. Flash forward almost two decades and three presidential administrations later, we honor those who paid the ultimate price and reflect upon the effect this attack had on the United States. The domestic and global turmoil the terrorist attacks caused. The rippling repercussions of which are still leading to our soldiers dying overseas.
Very auspicious time to be in NYC. A chapter of my 11-year-old self just closed a loop. 🇺🇸🗽🕊 taken in 9/11 Memorial Site by @skygreene

Missing my road trip copilot @christinajsewell right about now. One of the best memories I have is barreling down 395 toward JTree listening to political, social justice, and French language podcasts. I miss our discussions which always led to me unlearning something fundamental and opening my eyes to another perspective. Christina, you keep my mind open and never let me turn a blind eye. Together we are radically inclusive team ready to take on the world.

Our beloved California is being threatened north and south with fires. I recently learned that many fires are being fought by non-violent inmates who until recently weren't given the chance to become firefighters after their release while being paid cents an hour to save our state.

Assemblywoman Eloise Gomez Reyes, will allow nonviolent offenders, who have logged time in fire camps while incarcerated, an opportunity to have their records expunged upon release, allowing them to become firefighters.

"If we really want to bring about change and lower our recidivism rates, we have to ensure that those that have served their sentences have an opportunity for meaningful employment," Reyes tweeted Sunday. "Those that have served on the fire lines deserve a second chance."

Important to acknowledge small wins but not dwell too long when so much work still needs to be done. VOTE EARLY!!! taken in Highway 395 by @skygreene

A little over a month until I’m back at @vanswarpedtour Long Beach 🥁

By far one of my favorite gigs every year. Warped always takes me right back to where my music photography career started, and I still can’t believe this year marks half my life as a live music photographer.

Here are two #Pentax67 portraits of @travisbarker, plus two Z8 frames of him doing Travis things behind the kit.

Stoked for more surprise guests this year. Hit me up if you’ll be in Long Beach next month! taken in Long Beach, California by @skygreene

Co-leading the photo team for EDC Thailand alongside @turkphotos was an incredibly rewarding experience. We worked with a talented group of local Thai photographers and a dedicated media team from China—many experiencing EDC for the first time.

Despite language barriers, we found a universal way to communicate through music, energy, and the moments we captured. Seeing this team bring the festival to life through their lenses gave me a newfound appreciation for festival photography. Sometimes, all it takes is a fresh perspective to rekindle the magic.

This was the first festival of this scale ever held in this region, and I’m beyond grateful to have been part of it. To the team—thank you for your passion, creativity, and dedication. This is just the beginning. Next stop: China and Korea! 🚀🎡

Just received a notification about a big solar storm hitting the earth and a chance to see KP8 auroras. It's bittersweet knowing I'll be missing it, but it's reminding me of the unforgettable moments chasing the Northern Lights in Lofoten. The memories of gazing up at the Aurora dancing in the sky still give me chills. It was a humbling and awe-inspiring reminder of the beauty and power of Mother Nature. Grateful for that unforgettable adventure 🙏 taken in Hamnøy I Lofoten, Nordland, Norway by @skygreene

After shooting EDC Korea last month, I set off solo across the country before stepping into paternity leave.

I hiked to the top of Ulsanbawi Rock, wandered the gardens in Sokcho, and relied on my toddler-level Korean to chat with taxi drivers and fishermen. Traveling alone through Korea gave me time to reflect, recharge, and build a deeper personal connection to a place that’s part of my growing family’s story.

My wife is half Korean, and our son will be a quarter — so nurturing my own relationship with the culture feels important. I’m grateful for the kind crew and people I met in Incheon, Sokcho, and Seoraksan. Can’t wait to return. taken in Seoraksan National Park , South Korea by @skygreene

It felt like the entire festival showed up for this set. To be in the pit for this moment felt like an important time in Chappell Roan’s career as she’s jettisoning upwards. 🌠 Like her music or not, being a part of her femininomenom is pretty rad.

Four days in Phang Nga Bay—on foot, by scooter, across turquoise waters in a long-tail, and high above. Wandering through lush mangroves, marveling at golden Wats set against towering limestone cliffs, and spelunking through bat caves at dusk.

Also shout out to @al__mills for showing us around your part of the world.
