May 18th my life changed forever. It’s be a month without my MomMom, a month without hearing her voice, seeing her smile and hearing her prayers. I miss her so much, but I know she’s rejoicing and praising the Lord. I miss my Butterfly Kisses. She called me Butterfly Kisses since I was born, she said my eyelashes were so long it they looked like butterflies on my eyes.

My butterfly kisses, I love you so much or as you’d say I love you to life. I miss your smile, I miss your voice every time we’d talk on the phone you were so happy and answer saying “Hey Sky”, I miss binge shows and movies with you. I miss hearing your feet drag on the floor. I miss your texts, you voice mails, your IG dms and comments on my posts. I miss doing twist outs and rod sets in your hair and drinking coffee with you, you were the reason I started drinking coffee.

She taught me about Jesus Christ and who He is. To know MomMom is to love her and know that she loved her Lord and Savior. No matter who she had encounters with she always showed them love and then she’d ask you if you knew Jesus. If you didn’t she’d ask you if you wanted to get to know Him and be saved because Jesus is the only way to eternal life.

She’d always ask me if I read Psalms 91, sometimes I’d say yes and sometimes I’d say no and she’d say “you gotta read Psalms 91 it’s a prayer of protection.” Some people would call her a Proverbs 31 woman, to me she was a Psalms 91 woman specifically verses 14-16 which reads “For here is what the Lord has spoken to me: “Because you loved me, delighted in me, and have been loyal to my name, I will greatly protect you. I will answer your cry for help every time you pray, and you will feel my presence in your time of trouble. I will deliver you and bring you honor. I will satisfy you with a full life and with all that I do for you. For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!” My MomMom, my Butterfly Kisses, my grandmother, I love you to life and I will always keep your words of wisdom, encouragement and prayers in my heart.
