We exist to explore how 'good' coffee can be -- for everyone involved. We find and roast extraordinary coffee, then donate ALL the money. Brighton📍

Here they are: 4 remarkable coffees from Kerehaklu. Kerehaklu is a stunningly biodiverse coffee plantation in the Western Ghats region of India owned by the Thipaiah family. We’re very excited to release these coffees and are a bit enamoured with the generally overlooked possibilities of coffee from India. There are 2 Arabicas (1 washed, 1 natural) and 2 Robustas (1 washed, 1 natural) AND you can also try them all together in our Tasting Set! While we love the sweetness of Arabica, we think the potential and flavours of Robusta are not to be overlooked. The Robustas DO taste different to most specialty coffee, very nutty, and sometimes like popcorn. They’re reminiscent of classic diner filter coffee, but in this case MUCH cleaner and more interesting. We recommend resting these coffees longer after the roast date (3 weeks is ideal) and try brewing them with cooler water to enhance the sweetness - around 82C. Let us know what you think! by @skylark.coffee
We’ve noticed some new faces here since launching the fermentation project taster packs - So we thought it would be a good opportunity to reintroduce ourselves and why we do what we do! Next up: Why Skylark? As a non-profit, we re-invest our money into projects which develop how much ‘good’ coffee can do. Swipe to read more 👉🏻 by @skylark.coffee
Right now, Colombian producers need our help in the aftermath of the colossal earthquake on August 10th.  Our friends and partners at Fundación Apuna & Siruma Coffee, who source Chapata for us, have started a disaster relief fund for smallholders who have been affected.  £1 per bag of this coffee sold will be donated to this fund (alongside additional money from the general Skylark Uplift Fund).  @sirumacoffee by @skylark.coffee
Bird Baby - directed by @matt.trapp We do very much like birds and places where birds live. That’s why with our new collab release with @skylark.coffee we’re donating proceeds from the coffee sale to @londonwildlifetrust who run our local wetlands in Walthamstow and Woodberry. We’ve made this lovely video about how much we love the wetlands and birds and London, so you know why we’ve done this particular coffee, and to celebrate something that we think is incredibly important. Take a wee second and listen to the dulcet tones of Tom chatting about the calming effect of nature and bird watching, then maybe go do some yourself if you fancy it??? by @skylark.coffee

We’re searching for the last *unicorn* coffee to complete our advent set 🦄 It’s gotta extra sparkly for day 24 ✨ by @skylark.coffee
@skylark.coffee x batch baby x @londonwildlifetrust Our collab coffee, an anaerobic washed Sidra from Angela Rojas in Colombia. 72 hours of fermentation married with the quality of the Sidra means it tastes like Turkish delight and personally I am delighted with it. We (Batch Baby and Skylark) will be donating proceeds from this coffee to the good folks at London Wildlife Trust to do more things like reintroducing storks into London and looking after our London wetlands. Which is particularly important after recent reports that birds numbers are down in the UK, and the UK already being one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world. Charities like London Wildlife Trust do invaluable work for our wildlife as well as giving us important green spaces to visit ourselves. I love them. The coffee is also gorgeous anyway, so even if the bird stuff doesn’t tickle you, and you don’t care about the future of London or the planet and you just want to indulge yourself, we’ve got you. You buy our coffee, we do the rest 🤝 Scroll for photos of birds I went and took in Sussex on our trip to see Skylark in their natural habitat (the roasters and the birds) by @skylark.coffee

Some nice locally sourced things that are newly/back in stock :) 🌿🌸 Pressed flower cards 🌸🌿 Flowers, herbs and leaves from my @bohemiawga plot, on recycled card, sold with charity shop envelopes and degradable wrap. Many of you will know, but we make these with rinsed and reused kalita wave coffee filters! Amazingly, the 185 ones fit perfectly into a standard flower press (though heavy books work too) ♻️ 🪶🫘 Skylark coffee beans 🫘 🪶 Roasted locally in Brighton, and currently reaching peak flavour — the beans have rested a couple of weeks and are tasting DELICIOUS!! Lots of fruity naturals available if that's your thing 🍓🍒🍑🍍 We love Skylark's commitment to traceability and sustainability, both locally and in coffee producing countries. The coffee is sold plastic-free, in recyclable paper bags (we recommend decanting into a sealed container once you get it home, and keeping at room temp) Extra cool that the packs come with beautiful Jackie Morris artwork (she's recently pledged proceeds from her book royalties to Sally Rooney 🇵🇸) and words by Robert Macfarlane All of them are available to try on our pour over menu, alongside our seasonal range from Pharmacie 🍂 🍑🫧 Peach Kombucha 🫧🍑 From the legends at Zak's Kombucha, made with local Myatt's Kentish peaches This is a seasonal offering so won't be available for long!! We also have the Elderflower, Sparkling Oolong, Turmeric & Ginger and Lavender in stock 🪻🫚 by @skylark.coffee
We just wanted to give a shoutout to Taylor who did a really cool thing over the weekend… He brewed up a bunch of SL Colombian coffees from his front garden! The goal was to make money for All Hands and Hearts who are currently providing shelter and support for displaced families in Colombia. Pretty friggin cool if you ask us. It’s time to say hello to an old friend! @skylark.coffee are back on the bar today and this time it’s with this impeccable Ethiopian Coffee. We’re talking 120 hour carbonic fermentation! And it packs a huge fruity punch! With tasting notes of Strawberry, Blueberry and Clementine it’s possibly one of the best Flat Whites we’ve ever tried 👀 #outsetcoffeeshrewsbury #specialtycoffee #ethiopiacoffee #shrewsburybusiness #shropshirebusiness by @skylark.coffee
