If you haven’t tried Jessé’s chilaquiles, you need to stop by Sunday, Feb. 2nd for Skylark’s very own brunch. Add cecina sourced from the local legend @carniceria_maribel and have a bloody mary mixed in-house by Sam plus maybe a fresh-brewed cup of coffee. And of course there are other brunchy items on the menu if you’re not ready for the heat. 11am-3pm. by @skylark_chicago
We were profiled by @blockclubchi for having the oldest known urinals in use in the city. Link is in our highlights - it’s a well researched piece! And - be on the lookout for the announcement of our dedication ceremony with a plaque for the urinals. by @skylark_chicago
Almost one year ago, on Jan. 24th, the six of us became the new co-owners of the Skylark and the stewards of this historical building. We take the weight of that history and the continuation of the spirit of Skylark seriously. Thank you to all of her friends for keeping us going strong this year. Here’s a photo of our building from THIS DAY, January 5th, 88 years ago. And then here’s all of us standing together at our end-of-year meeting we held tonight upstairs. We can’t wait for the year ahead. ❤️✨ Thanks to the @mwrd_of_greater_chicago for the photo from their collection. by @skylark_chicago
