if i have learned anything from the past two weeks it’s this: you’re never too old to start again.

this month we got to take my 87 year old poppie to see italy for the very first time.

earlier this year we lost my dearest nonnie, his wife, his everything. for years he took care of her while she fought many illnesses, always putting her first. it has not been an easy year, but my poppie is the most resilient man i know.

throughout our time in italy he continued to point out how he was most definitely the oldest person in airport, on the train, or in the resturant, and how grateful he was to just be there. it wasn’t until i was editing this video that i realized there was a lesson he was trying to teach me (as there is alwayssss a lesson that man wants to teach me).

you’re never too old to start again.

watching my grandfather smile and laugh, finally putting himself first, will forever be one of my greatest blessings.

i just know nonnie is watching over us🦋 by @skylarmaio
