My light in darkness, My baby 🌱

10 songs. (Supposed to be 12 but we’ll get to that later on)

I started recording my own songs in December of 2022. I am so thankful for my growth I’ve experienced on this journey, turning a very dark period of my life into something meaningful, everyone I’ve met, and those that held me up along the way. 🤍

I wrote all of these songs on my own and vocal produced myself as well.

It was fun, it was challenging, it was WORK, it was scary, it was something I’ve never poured myself into so deeply before . But, it no longer belongs to me. As I’ve heard all of these songs (and then some that didn’t make the cut) a billion times, I’m ready to move on and continue to grow. So here it is. by @skylorh_

In honor of my graduation, I wanted to share something personal.
Over these past two years, I’ve grown not just academically—but as a man, a friend, and most importantly, a husband.
One thing I’ve learned through it all… is love.
This EP was created during a time when my wife and I were living apart for nearly a year because of her job. It wasn’t easy. I needed an outlet—and that’s when the guitar really entered my life.
It taught me how to express emotion in a way I never had before.
The goal with these songs wasn’t to be flashy… but to build a sonic palette that feels like love.
If you’ve ever missed someone, held on through distance, or found strength in connection—this is for you.
