1 year ago today I got a phone call I never thought I would get. I didn’t believe it was true and it was scary. This past year has had so many obstacles we have all had to go through. Grieving someone is, one day you are fine, then the next its like you heard those words again for the first time and you’re falling apart. I miss you every single day Andy. You loved us all so much and you made our family complete. I hope I’m making you proud, cause I was sure proud of you and everything you did for us. Not a day goes by I don’t think about you, I sure do miss your hugs. To all of you who continue to check on us and make sure we are doing alright, it doesn’t go unnoticed. This year has been filled with many ups and even more downs. I am so thankful for my circle of people, without you I wouldn’t be where I am today. Don’t take life for granted because tomorrow isn’t promised. by @skylynfinnell

I can’t even believe I’m writing this…
Andy had the kindest soul, always talking and making friends with someone. He was the light in our world, always making things better. Andy came into our family with open arms, and so much love. He loved me and Tuker as if we were his own, and we loved him as a father. I will never forget when he took me to the jewelry store to pick up moms ring and he made me promise that I would keep it a secret (surprisingly I did 🤷🏼‍♀️) Andy was ALWAYS there for us, literally everything. If we were sad, happy, angry, or just needed a hug Andy was there. Let’s not forget his hugs, they were one of a kind. I don’t understand why you are gone or why God needed you more than we do, but one thing i do know is you taught me what it means to shine with kindness and love and I will continue to let that light shine. I know how much you loved me, mom, Tuker and Bekett. And we will always love you and will forever miss you (and your dad jokes) 🪽❤️ by @skylynfinnell

Dear grandpa, I miss you so much already. I miss our story times we had, when you would tell me all about the crazy things you did and got to see. I miss the farm where you would take me on golf cart rides and eventually when I got old enough you would let me drive but I remember I crashed into the big tree you had and you weren’t very happy with me but that didn’t last long. I miss going camping with you. I miss going out for breakfast with you and playing dice with all your friends. I’m gonna miss you in everything I do. I don’t know what life is going to look like with you not in it, but I do know that you are in a much better place and in no more pain.
