Meanwhile, in the forest somewhere

Quick day trip to see what the highlining community was up to. Just a casual river crossing, nothing too crazy...

Always love getting to photograph people in their element. Especially when they’re doing something most people (myself included) can’t wrap their heads around.

T shirt weather in January yes please! We love when the crew can get out and play in the sun by the ocean! While this line was up some of us got to see Seals, Eagles and Orcas. taken in Howe Sound by @slacklifebc

Moments like this feel a lot more rare these days. Finding something new and scary in the familiar, with the right amount of uncertainty to make the end goal that much more special. We hiked up in the morning with way too much gear, but not knowing what the anchors would be like made it necessary. The suffering of the steep approach and precarious scramble with 50+lbs packs was rewarded with the most satisfying sense of accomplishment I hadn't felt in a very long time. Let's make these moments less rare.

Naked Fainting Goat - 105m, all natural anchors, full man first ascent by Benham Harper @explore_learn_slack
Rigged by @mat_bolduc @slackmau @explore_learn_slack @geralds.moves

1. Sunset first ascent with Benham
2. Insane luck with the auroras, Benham shoulder stands in the darkness
3, 4, 5. @mat_bolduc magical sunrise session
6. Benham going for round 3
7, 8. @slackmau walking amongst the giants of Habrich, Copilot and Skypilot

That was a magical 36 hour sufferfest. Thank you boys for that. More to come.

This guy!!! The day I met Jonny you could tell he wanted this more than anyone else! In the sea to sky over the last 1-2 years It would be hard to name someone else who has had more line time than Jonny! Rain or shine cold feet it doesn’t matter Jonny is there! Having the desire to learn to become an awesome mentor and rigger to now being the man in town showing everyone whats up and what is possible! We are so stoked to have you in the community Jonny way to show everyone how possible hard work and dedication pays off! Tell us why you love Jonny!!!
