My dad, Paul J Bargiel, aka Big, aka Driving Man, aka Coach, aka Bad Paul, aka Pop, moved on from this mortal plane on September 28, 2026.

His formal obituary is coming, but please understand there are three writers in this family and we all have notes.

My dad always said he’d work til he died, and true to his word he formally retired from the legal profession in mid-July.

He wanted to be cremated, so we had a private viewing on Tuesday night and his funeral mass will be on Saturday, October 17 at 11am at St Pet’s. Some sort of reception/food thing will follow where you all will be given three minutes to eulogize my dad, so start prepping.

In lieu of flowers, my mom asked that you donate to the Glen House Food Pantry or World Central Kitchen, because there’s nothing we like more than making sure everyone gets fed.

Working with Bobby Carradine the actor was such a joy, but getting to know Bobby Carradine the person was such a honor.
💙💙💙
His brother Keith’s statement says it all: “We want people to know it, and there is no shame in it,” he said. “It is an illness that got the best of him, and I want to celebrate him for his struggle with it, and celebrate his beautiful soul. He was profoundly gifted, and we will miss him every day. We will take solace in how funny he could be, how wise and utterly accepting and tolerant he was. That’s who my baby brother was.”
