There is so much more involved to create beautiful portraits than just “pressing a button.”

This project is the culmination of months of planning, researching Renaissance art, sourcing the correct fabrics and colors for the time period, and most importantly, finding the right people to execute the project with.

I received 2nd place in this month’s Austin PPA photo competition for my photo “A Study of Line”! I am currently in the lead for Austin Photographer of the Year, too!

One of my goals for this year is to win Photographer of the Year, and I’m on track for that, but the year is still young and a lot can happen. I need to keep the momentum up!

I received First Place in this month’s Austin PPA Photo Competition for my portrait, “Framing The Self.” @brandisbrinkman was absolutely perfect for this photo session in the studio at @cinemakerstudios and thank you, @tracy_dlite so much for assisting me with this portrait project!

I printed this portrait on a 20x30 framed canvas, and it is just gorgeous hanging next to my other black and white portrait. Printing is the way to go if you truly want to appreciate art and photography.
