Ippy Patterson’s reception last night at the Drakeford Library Complex was a complete success. It’s up until October 8th. Open during regular business hours M-F /9-5. Yesterday was also my Father’s death anniversary, 48 years. Not only does this date connect these two events but the fact Ippy’s portraits was of Spanish speaking authors, many of whose books my Mother still has because he read and studied them all.

My father wrote one of his dissertations on the Poetry of Sor Marcela de San Félix, my name sake, daughter of Lope de Vega. The last photograph is of the title page: Submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Arts, in the Faculty of Philosophy, Columbia University. I miss my Daddy-o.
