Laugh the pain away. 😅 But fr tho! As someone who takes myself waaay too seriously all the god damn time, one of my saving graces is the ability to see the humor in my flaws, and furthermore, revel at the ridiculousness of putting limitless consciousness into these tiny imperfect vessels that will inevitably crumble and degrade into the earth… How stupidly silly and wonderful is it to be alive? Across the board, it’s a pretty hilarious predicament. V uncomfortable, v embarrassing, so much suffering in between the fleeting moments of joy we reach for. But then again, there’s downsides too! 😜

IMHO if you can’t laugh at you you’re DOA. Also, I don’t know whatchu heard about me, but I muthafuckin 💩 and I pee. That is all! Thanks ✌🏽😘🎤 taken in Venice Beach, California by @slapguru

“Let’s just make music for ourselves” got a little out of hand.

Three friends, a band we didn’t plan on starting, and now our first music video. This is a pretty special one to share with you.

TWENTY TWENTY SICK — the official video is out now on YouTube. Thanks for being here at the beginning 🖤 by @slapguru

We didn’t mean to start a band. We just wanted to make music for ourselves again.

The three of us have always written music together. We’ve had plans. We’ve put pressure on ourselves. We’ve overthought what it was all supposed to become.

So we let that shit go.

We stopped asking “where is this going?” and started saying “play that again.” We made songs because we loved them, not because we knew what to do with them. We remembered that making music with your best friends is already a pretty good reason to get out of bed. Or occasionally sleep at the studio.

Somewhere in there, KALIFORNIA happened.

And somehow, the music we made when we stopped trying to force an outcome brought us to something we’d always dreamed of.

Our first single, “twenty twenty sick,” is out now on Big Beat Records / Warner Records.

That is a very fucking surreal sentence to type.

These photos are a little of how we got here. We’re glad you’re here for whatever happens next.

“twenty twenty sick” is yours now. Link in bio. 🖤 by @slapguru
