How to care for your nails after your appointment!

1. Use cuticle oil:
Moisturize and hydrate your nails after your appointment by using cuticle oil/lotion at home! This also promotes nail growth and strengthens nails.

2. Don’t use your nails as tools:
Protect your nails and nail enhancements by not using them as tools! Overusing them as tools can cause lifting, chipping, or breaking to occur more quickly.

3. Get acrylic fills every couple weeks:
This is important to rebalance the nail and reinforce its structure/strength! Waiting too long to get a fill can lead to lifting and breakage. Trapped moisture under lifting nails can cause infections.

4. Soak off Gel-X every 2-3 weeks:
Soak off Gel-X after 2-3 weeks or when lifting occurs.

5. Do not pry off your nails:
Prying off your nail extensions strips layers of the natural nail, causing them to weaken or become thin/damaged over time.

6. Soak off nails in acetone:
This is the safest way to remove your nail extensions!

7. Avoid excessive water exposure:
Excessive water exposure such as from pools or saltwater can weaken the adhesion of the artificial nail to the natural nail, causing it to lift or break more easily.

8. Avoid harsh chemicals:
Wear gloves when cleaning or working with harsh chemicals to prevent lifting, chipping, dissolving, or breakage. by @slayedwithgrace
