5th grade is looking different this year! I get asked often, “How long will you homeschool?” And I’ve always replied, “We take it a year at a time.” This year, Evie will be attending the Sarah Ann School, a homeschool hybrid/private school at the @reading_therapy_center in Willmar. We are so grateful for this faith-based, resource and opportunity, and can’t wait to see her confidence soar! Lillie and I will be traveling weekly to Morris to our new @classical_conversations community. Lots of changes for the Carlson house, but we’re feeling really at peace with how our year has unfolded! Dru and Evie ran their first Foot Lake 4 this morning!! A beautiful morning for a nice little jog! They have been training with the YMCA Heart & Sole Running Club since May! Proud of their commitment, grateful Evie had wonderful friends who were a part of it, and SHE TOOK🥇in her division!!

It was a weekend full of performance and sharing the fruit of a whole lot of hard work!

This was our first year with Grace Homeschool Co-op, and we had the opportunity to be part of the spring musical! I also had the joy of co-teaching the AM music class this year, and between the morning and afternoon groups, there are over 350 kids! So amazing to see that many homeschoolers supporting, learning, and growing together!! We are truly so blessed by the local homeschooling community….such a gift!!!

To top it off, the girls had their annual piano recital this weekend too. Gosh… my heart just smiles listening to them make music. 💛 by @slcarlson227

40 years old!! It’s a gift to be flooded with birthday messages and reminisce on how our paths have crossed over the past 4 DECADES!! THANK YOU!!

Spent our week in Florida visiting my parents and even ventured to the Atlantic side to visit my childhood neighbor and her family!! We didn’t waste a second of our vacation, squeezing in as much as we could! I’m not over the hill…..I’m still climbing up!!! by @slcarlson227

The girls, along with their 4H Club, Radiant Grace are collecting items to be donated to The Link in New London!
👉🏼The Link provides support and resources for our friends and neighbors in need!
Lillie and Evie have their box at @marcus_construction_1956 collecting hygiene products and items for both kids and adults!!

‘Twas the night before the girls’ 1️⃣0️⃣th birthday, and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The balloons were hung by the doorway with care,
In hopes that tomorrow, joy would fill the air.

The table was set with cards and wrapped gifts,
While I hovered over them watching them sleep in shifts.
The smell of fresh monkey bread wafted from the kitchen,
A feast for the morning, oh, what a mission!

The nightlight was glowing, casting soft light,
As I tiptoed around, keeping the magic in sight.
With a heart full of love and excitement so grand,
I whispered a prayer for their day to be planned.

For ten years of laughter, of cuddles and play,
Tomorrow we’d party in the most special way.
So I tucked in the memories, both old and new,
And prepared for the morning, with joy shining through.
