ICYMI: Salt Lake City is a long-standing member of Utah Renewable Communities: a group of 16 local communities across Utah working with @rockymountainpower to launch the Community Clean Energy Program. The Program will give Salt Lakers the power to choose affordable, net-100% renewable electricity, supporting healthier families, communities and the environment. Early next year, Rocky Mountain Power customers in Salt Lake City will be automatically enrolled in the Program with the option to opt out. Participating households will pay an extra $4 on their monthly Rocky Mountain Power bill. Households enrolled in Rocky Mountain Power’s Home Electric Lifeline Program (HELP) will participate for free. The best way to get on HELP is to apply for the Home Energy Assistance Target (HEAT) program and automatically receive the benefits of both offerings. This month’s Park Tour Tuesday doubles as celebration for its grand reopening! 🌳🐈‍⬛ Steenblik Park is open and ready for you to enjoy it once again. The renovated playground maintains old equipment mixed with new features to give it a fresh and exciting makeover. The space has plenty of shade and is nestled in a quiet corner of the Rose Park Neighborhood. Fun fact: The iconic, metal cats are an art installation called “Dairy Cats”. They’re a call back to the old, Steenblik Dairy Farm that ran from the 1920s - 70s just across the street from the park and provided fresh milk to the Rose Park Community during its years of operation. by @slcdistrict1
