Often, as council members, we get so wrapped up in official business and the seriousness of our responsibilities. I wanted to take a moment to connect with you on a more personal level and tell you what I love about District 3! by @slcdistrict3

Happy Hallo-week, District 3! 👻 Make sure you enjoy the holiday safely this week by wearing clothing that makes you visible, staying in well-lit areas and traveling in groups. I encourage you to follow and share these tips so that everyone can have a fun and safe time! by @slcdistrict3

Join me for another Spill the Tea event on Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 5-7 p.m. at Avenues Proper* (376 8th Ave). Have you checked out the new Museum of Utah yet? This great new project is Utah’s first state history museum, housed at the Utah Capitol Complex in District 3. You can check out art exhibits about some of the people who have lived in Utah, our unique history, how it became a state and so much more! The museum is open daily and admission is free. by @slcdistrict3

I hope you enjoy community festivals as much as I do 🤝 The @avenuesstreetfair and Marmalade Jam Fest are some of my favorite events of the year! Thanks to everyone who came out, showed support and helped make these annual events so special. I can’t wait to do it again next year! by @slcdistrict3

Last weekend we had the honor of unveiling the historical marker for Sun Tavern, a significant place in Utah LGBTQ+ history. The marker will inform people about the community importance of the bar and its founder, Joe Redburn. Thank you to the Mildred Berryman Institute and our other community partners for helping establish this monument! by @slcdistrict3
