As we finish off a great year, we look ahead to the future. The Student Leadership Council is able to make an impact on our college and put on exciting events because of the great members that make up our team. As we look ahead towards the 2026-2027 school year, we hope to see more students than ever applying to the SLC! Read more on this post to see if you would be a good fit for the SLC, and if interested, applications will open up early in the fall semester.

We are also very excited to announce our Executive Board for the upcoming year! Michael Canizio will be leading the SLC as President, with Maggie Whisler as our Executive Vice President. Brian Stockwell will be VP of Operations, Gabriella Frino will be VP of Programming, Sam Kokales will be VP of Communications, and Evan Garcia will be Director of Internal Affairs. We’re excited to see them work and continue pushing the Wertheim Student Leadership Council forward! by @slcfsuwertheim

Students joined Gail and Bob Knight themselves in the Gail & Bob Knight Auditorium yesterday evening for the Student Leadership Council's Movie "Knight," featuring a screening of “The Pursuit of Happyness.”

The auditorium’s benefactors and namesakes spent the evening serving popcorn, meeting students and enjoying the film! It exemplified how Gail (BS Accounting '82), a 2025 FSU Alumni Hall of Fame inductee, and Bob (BS Speech Communication ’81) continue to make an impact through their generosity and commitment to engaging with our students.

Thank you, Gail and Bob, for joining us and for your continued investment in the Wertheim College community! A presentation is taking place in a large auditorium. Two individuals are standing in front of a screen displaying the title "The Pursuit of Happyness". The screen provides event details including the date, time, and location, and highlights free popcorn. Rows of seats are visible. by @slcfsuwertheim
