FRI 8/28 — MONTROSE SALOON
2933 W Montrose Ave, Chicago
7:30pm | $15 at the door | 21+ w/ physical ID

PHIL YATES & THE AFFILIATES — 7:30
Chicago rock landing between indie rock, power pop, and folk. Yates describes it as “too folky for the rockers and too rocky for the folkers.” Sharp melodies, guitar-driven songwriting, plenty of hooks. They’ve shared stages with The Mountain Goats, The Babies, Cave Singers, and Joe Jack Talcum of The Dead Milkmen.

HUMAN ERRORS — 8:30
Rough-edged Chicago rock and roll pulling from garage rock, punk, alt-country, ‘60s rock, and lo-fi indie. Three guitarists sharing vocal and instrumental duties alongside drums.

SLOW TEETH — 9:30
Cinematic, atmospheric trio from Durham, North Carolina blending post-rock, shoegaze, indie rock, and indie folk. Debut record I came out in 2025. This stop lands in the middle of a run taking them from North Carolina through Chicago, Canada, and the East Coast. Fans of Radiohead/The Smile, Sigur Rós, Pink Floyd, The Verve, and Volcano Choir take note.

SLEEPERSOUND — 10:30
Cinematic post-rock and dream pop from Milwaukee — shoegaze, ambient rock, psychedelia, synth textures, atmospheric guitars. Formed as an experimental music-and-art project. Latest album My Own Dead Love came out in 2025.

Come early, stick around for the whole bill.

Minneapolis—we're incredibly excited to return on July 31 at Zhora Darling.
We'll be joining the incomparable local bands @vayga.band and @lifeskillstheband for a night of hypnotic, atmospheric post-rock.
If you're into Slowdive, Cloakroom, Hum, or Russian Circles, we'd love to meet you.
Doors 7 PM.
