I remember exactly where I was on 9/11 all of us in class as kids trying to understand what we were watching. A moment in our history that will never be forgotten!!! I was in NY a few weeks ago and got to visit ground zero the experience had me a little shook emotionally especially reading the children who died unborn. Took this footage I shot on my phone and put this together. 9/11 a day that will NEVER be forgotten!

Peace family! Without further ado, I bring to you Bigger Than Me: The Hakeem Jubal Croom Story!!

This film has been 4 years in the making. Many days and nights went into editing, pivoting, pausing, and strategizing in efforts to bring it to life.

Thank you to all of my supporters who gave to the crowdfund and who came to one of the premiere for the 3 state tour! Shout out to my brother @sleepy_trees for directing and my brothers @shaikhphoto and @a_wayne88 from @no_guru_ish for producing!

Today marks the 20th year anniversary of my mother’s passing and there is no better way of honoring her life by releasing Bigger Than Me. Who would’ve known that I’d be here in 2006. My grief became gratitude and my pain became purpose. Continue to rest in everlasting peace and power mom!

You can watch the film on uscreen following the link below(link to doc also in my bio)! Please Leave reviews, comments, and share it in your network!

Never thought I’d have my documentary on the marquee for one of the most historic libraries in the country but God did!! Words could not describe the feelings I felt looking up at it and then looking across the street at Harlem hospital where my dad used to work God is all in the details! Happy to bring Bigger Than Me back home to Harlem, my origin, and the place that molded me into the man I am today!! Excited to share this piece and touch the people it’s meant to touch! Join me this Wednesday for the premiere at the @schomburgcenter from 5:00-9:00 pm. Tickets are still available via eventbrite:
