Same old song and dance, except with more pizza and pride. OC Album release show was nothing short of amazing. The energy in that room was palpable, and being there with so many of my friends, old and new, filled me with so much love and joy that I just never seem to find anywhere else.

Ten years ago I went to a concert for one band, and fell in love with another. Fall Out Boy had just returned from hiatus and this was the Save Rock and Roll tour. And they brought a single opener with them. And this is the only photo of the opener from that show that has survived all of my phone changes and previous memory cards/phones.

@newpoliticsmusic blew me away. I had never been to a show where I was more impressed with the opener than I was the headliner (and I fucking love fall out boy!). So when I left the show and found New Politics' music, I couldn't stop. I got absorbed in it, and it all felt pretty parallel to my life and the shit I was going through. Their music got me through college, and gave me the strength to become an artist and really be okay with myself as I am. They taught me how to love myself and be the weird kid and that that's okay!

But the journey clearly didn't end with this one show. A decade later and 50+ shows, this band, and the fan base they grew, became my safe space and home. I have met so many amazing people because of them. I have grown an art career because of them (although making official merch for them would've been the biggest bucket list goal of mine ever 😩). The last few years without them has been so rough, but they give me hope that they'll be back, soon.

I owe my whole life to a video game soundtrack from 2004 because Paper Wings was on Burnout 3: Takedown's soundtrack and I drove the best when that song was on.

@riseagainst gave me a reason to care about the world around me beyond myself, and growing up with them as a part of my life has been an honor, but it was the biggest honor to meet them at HeartSupport Fest.

The 8 year break between shows was painful and a gut punch of karma, but this weekend, these past two shows, made up for everything. Rise Against forever 🖤 by @slev___

Touched a lot of grass, saw a lot of animals, art, and rocks. Made new friends, saw old ones, sold some art, went to some concerts. Incredible time in Kentucky and Tennessee. by @slev___

99 shows for one band may be crazy, so it kinda tracks for me. Love my @bikinitrill family, my best friend @smj474 for doing the crazy things with me. Glad to have FINALLY met my West coast twin @no_its_just_sam , and got to enjoy @jonwiilde music. Seattle and Portland will always be special for me now (Portland has redeemed itself from 2019).

Lots of art, driving (whiplash in the mountains was very fun!!), and crazy little adventures in three days and I'm just so damn grateful for it all. 🖤 by @slev___

The trip I learned to fall in love with myself.

Went back to the Holy Land ™ (Sweet Tomatoes), saw so many amazing friends and I don't know if I have enough room to share all of those pictures. Got my first ever tarot reading and while I'm skeptical, I'm more of a believer than I thought I would be. Art pours into my soul and will come back out tenfold later on. The beauty in the hidden messages. I'm excited to go home and dive into new projects. I'm excited for the future again, both for my amazing talented friends in @bikinitrill , but also for myself. I have a spark for life and a new perspective I didn't think I could have. Life is strange, crazy, and beautiful but God damn am I excited to be here for once. 🖤 by @slev___

Added a shit ton of miles to my car but who cares when this is the vacation you've been daydreaming about for 6 months, and to all places, West Virginia.

Went to two concerts, a comedy show (@zanehelberg ), sold some art (a lot actually, gotta humble brag for a second), and got to see some of my favorite people. The Virginia's are magical and I loved every minute of this trip. by @slev___

@smanifesto put me in a better place and a better time last night than I've been in for a while. Hearing my favorite songs with an orchestra behind them was absolutely insane and one for the books. More bands should bring out orchestras!! 🫶🖤 taken in Hard Rock Live Universal Orlando by @slev___

I hadn't seen @bayside since 2014, right after Cult came out. But seeing them play 40-something songs over two nights was absolutely worth it. Congrats on 25 years, boys! 🖤 by @slev___

I have been waiting so long to see @tfp_devotion again. I first saw them at Wills Pub 10 years ago (photo 7). I was a whole different person then. They were practically a different band. Rediscovered them a few years ago and I love everything they're doing. The band is super creative, fun, and very energetic and engaging live which I personally love more than anything.
