A succulent shop that showcases nature and succulent art by emerging, local artists!? Now THIS is a match made in heaven!

My original paintings and drawings are now available for sale at @ilovetussucculents in Los Angeles! Here’s just a sneak peak, but more and more will become available.

iLovetus celebrates the beauty of succulents and enables shoppers to customize gifts for themselves or loved ones, plus they offer fun and interactive plant experiences.

I am so honored to have my art accessible to the public in the most seamless way yet at iLovetus (located at 4859 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364). More on this special partnership to come 🥰 Please DM or iLovetus with any questions. ☀️🌵🏜️

The #artprocess is a great view into the mind of the artist and gives depth to the final outcome. Exploring the journey gives you a different perspective than you may have assumed.

For this piece, my journey included a few edits (like repainting a giant set of pink mountains white, only to chance them to a yellowish-orange pattern) and lots of time interrupted by Mimi (without dogs how might we get through the day, honestly!?).

I’m thrilled to look back and recall the evolution of each piece, here is just a snippet of the wild journey it took me on!

The power of pink! The pink acrylic paint base made everything else pop, completely changed every component of the piece thereafter. Imagine if the painting had started with another base?! This is why leaving the base layer of your piece has to be intentional from the start. It’s so fun to see the pink overtly or sneakily break through throughout the 4ft x 5ft piece, too.

The little details, the layers — that’s what makes Art. There’s a story told through building a piece of painted art that might be more satisfying than the end result.

This piece has many colors — greens, oranges, pinks, and more — all painted on a black canvas. The black background of it all really enables the flowers, which have the most white, to sing! For being so bright, this combination puts me at ease. I dream of finding such moments like this in nature, one day in real life or in my actual dreams.

In 2024, I’m exposing my art to scrutiny more. One way I’m doing that is by submitting my art to new contests and gallery shows. Because I’m thinking, why NOT me?!

Here’s one submission that’s in-the-works… can you guess what it is? Stay tuned for me to share no later than 4/24!

Mushroom piece in development, should I continue to finish it??

It’s so satisfying to see drawings or paintings come to life. I take pictures of nature, or at times find great real-life photos on the internet, and turn them into my own take on reality. Imagine funny little brown mushrooms ⚡️ 🍄 💥 became like green! Like an Alice in Wonderland kinda of fever dream. This makes me giggle and brings me joy.
