@fabriclondonofficial turns 27 this weekend.

A quick story.

When I first arrived in London, I spent 10 days at a hostel in Swiss Cottage without taking to anyone. That weekend I decided to venture into London’s nightlife by myself, and since I didn’t really knew anyone in the city, I just picked fabric as my first destination. I ended up making my very first friends on that night after following a bunch of 19 year olds out of room 3. I just liked their vibe and we ended up clicking instantly. We remain friends to this date.

Exactly on that same day a year later, I was invited to join the team as a marketing intern. Now i spend most of my Saturdays at the club hosting some of the best djs in the world as an artist liaison. I’ve been fortunate to hear some amazing sets and acts and befriend the people who have been behind this institution for decades.

Happy bday fabric! Thank you for educating me every weekend. May your doors stay open for many more.

Our Sunday party with @boyanza_rec has moved to a more intimate venue: Vittoria Wharf @vittoriawharfstudio in Hackney Wick. This smaller space is a better fit for a daytime party than it would have been in Peckham, and it means we get to throw a longer party in one of the most beautiful rooms in East London.

Music will start earlier, with Lettie and Lils opening the dancefloor at midday and rolling all the way through to 11 pm, just in time to catch a train home. The event is now 18+, so if you have a friend who couldn’t come before, they’re welcome to join us now. We’re very happy about this swap.

Date: Sunday 20th September
Location: Vittoria Wharf, Hackney Wick, E3 2NT
Time: Midday till 11 pm

If for any reason you have a ticket but can’t make it, please send us a DM or email booking@clubalegria.uk and we’ll help you get a refund. Otherwise, we’ll see you on Sunday.

Tickets are limited. Grab yours on RA via the link in bio.

Different space. Same invitation. Come dance 🙂 taken in Vittoria Wharf by @slicausi

Journal entry from the 4th of June, 2026:

“I find myself in a beautiful place, surrounded by beautiful people. The sun shines high upon me, and my heart is full. I feel grateful.

I heal and find myself as I go, drawing from the past. I am who I’ve always been, and that is what makes this moment so freeing. There is a high stream of love coming my way at all times. Through earth and sky, it allows me to see how blessed I am within the human experience.

My suffering has only been there to teach me and to allow me to become this version of myself. I feel grateful for past pain, because it accompanies me and makes me gravitate toward the right people.

I believe I am in the right place at the right time. I am convinced that I am the consequence of those behind me and their love. I don’t take it for granted; it comes with the condition of giving back at every opportunity. The challenge lies in not allowing the shades of our ego to impose themselves through fear, as that keeps us from living in the light.”

Blessed for having been able to spend 28 days by the lake. See you soon Crato. taken in Crato, Portugal by @slicausi

Love as a source of direction.

I’ve realised in the last few months that love is a great source of direction when navigating life. We can only control how we act when facing any situation, person, or space — and that should always come from a place of love and positivity. What we put out there will come back eventually, and the human experience should be about leaving a good trace behind.

For me, music has been a path that allows me to find the language of my own emotions. When I find myself surrounded by it, I find others who look at the world in a similar way, and so sharing and being kind becomes easy.

May we surround ourselves with more love and music in the time to come. taken in Crato, Portugal by @slicausi

The managing of expectations.

For the past two years, I created a persona in order to navigate my own reality. I can’t blame myself for it, but I have now learnt to be mindful of the shadows buried within it.

Crato taught me how to navigate uncertainty, let go, and understand that the closer I am to the ground, the more in contact I can be with my true self. Expectations can get in the way of that: where I think I should be, and who I think I should be when I finally find myself in that position.

I arrived believing I had to be someone in order to justify my existence in the space, but early on that expectation was challenged, and the virtue of patience became the only way to keep navigating. I didn’t allow negative feelings to arise; I simply found my place in silence, and by being as humble as my nature allows me to be.

I’ve learnt that it is when we let go of expectations that things come our way. I have always known this, but struggled to put it into practice. The more we chase, the further away we get.

I tried my best to challenge and confront myself, and for me, that is the most important part of my Waking Life experience. I will be forever grateful to those who opened the door for me, even if what I found inside was the harsh bottom of a lake.

I feel very blessed to have spent 26 days surrounded by music, nature and beautiful people. See you again soon! taken in Crato, Portugal by @slicausi
