Both the photo shoot for artwork & video for 'On Replay' were shot & filmed next to the murual tribute for Jay Bulletproof by @otis.frizzell in Ponsonby, Auckland.

Jay was a true pioneer of Bass music in NZ, initially DnB, then later for Dubstep, Grime, UK Garage, Funky & more. He even toured Aus & NZ DJing for D Double E & Newham Generals.

So it was only right to pay our respects to the OG on my first UKG release!

Jay gave me my first main stage festival opportunity at Phat 08, end of 2007, when I was less than 2 years fresh on the mic, and also gave opportunities to SO many others, I will ALWAYS lay tribute to the bro.

RIL homie xxx

C-M-J here.

I've always loved UK Garage & 2 Step.

I was listening to it before DnB, I found So Solid Crew before Wu-tang

So I'm stoked to present my first UKG/2 Step single out now with my bro PLASTiC POUNAMU on Slice Of Nice

MY DEBUT SINGLE AS C-M-J IS OUT NOW!

This one is a collaboration with Tāmaki Makaurau based producer PLASTiC POUNAMU.

Out now on 🔥 NZ label, Slice Of Nice Records, link to stream & DL in bio

PLASTiC is one of THE dopest bass music producers in NZ, specializing on UKG and 2 step vibes.

The vocals on 'ON REPLAY' are heavily influenced by Grime & Hip Hop while PLASTiC brings through those HEAVY UKG flavours on the riddim.

To our brother Jamil, we think of you and your loved ones as you are laid to rest today, we know you would have been hyped for this one 💔

Stream it, down load it, share it round.

All I Need is a production collab between @racheldreyer & legendary house DJ @phil.taase071 , featuring London born UK Garage and Grime artist MC K.D @kyle_not_karl . Formerly of the grime collective Relentless Crew, K.D is now living in Aotearoa, and brings a fresh and unique flow to the club scene in Tamaki Makaurau.

It's been awesome to work on production for a couple of UKG tracks with MC K.D, Including Blowback, the title track of the first Garage EP which dropped 7th Nov. Released by Slice of Nice the track is currently debuting at number 37 on the hypeddit bass music charts. Here's K.D at @mamascrib_ HQ in Tamaki Makaurau, NZ.

A founding member of the Uk Grime outfit Relentless Crew, K.D's influences include @heartlesscrew and @skepta. A regular performer on London's Garage scene, his lyrical dexterity has seen him performing on a wide range on genres from Hip Hop to Dnb. MC K.D featured as part of a now classic track and showcase of British Grime Artists on the DJ Memzies Allstar remix for @bignarstie . Cheers to James and Nick of Mitchell and Stone for the awesome mix!
