Becoming, unfolding, releasing. Using my free will 🤣🥰🦋✨ I’ve always been infatuated with butterflies so I decided to grow my own. What I’ve learned is that growth isn’t graceful while it’s happening. There is a stage where everything feels like dissolution, old identities breaking down, comfort turning to discomfort, silence doing more work than words. Sometimes what looks like an ending is actually preparation. The cocoon is not punishment, it’s protection. It’s where the unseen rebuilding happens. Growth doesn’t always feel like power at first, it feels like uncertainty in a new body, wings I’m still learning how to trust. Unfortunately, I can’t go back to who I was just because the sky feels unfamiliar. So I’m choosing it anyway, getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. Not because I’m fearless, but because I refuse to stay small & I know how to fly now. The past few months, hell years have been nothing short of isolation & refinement. I don’t just grow, I transform & transformation always requires release. I was so sad to let my babies go, but they needed to learn how to use their wings. 🥹 I am so grateful to God for the work that is being done within me & around me. Everyday is Mother’s Day for me but of course I have to give my stinka mama a special shoutout. I can’t express my gratitude enough for my Queen of a mother. Always going above & beyond for me at my big ass age. No matter where I go, or how old I turn I know I’ll always be mommy’s baby. She gon always come see about me & for that I am truly blessed. She instills so much strength in me, always teaching me how to stand on my own but always on stand by to pick me up when I fall. I don’t know what I’d do without you ma.
