Sometimes, someone else sees something in you before you can see it in yourself.
Before Diane’s Heart, Nikia struggled with self-doubt and impostor syndrome. But being surrounded by women who believed in her helped her begin to recognize her own potential.
Through Diane’s Heart, Nikia found opportunities to grow, share her story and encourage other mothers. What started with one nervous speaking opportunity became the foundation for so much more.
And along the way, Diane’s Heart continued to show up, providing support when she needed it most.
For 10 years, that is what Diane’s Heart has been about: seeing the potential in mothers, supporting them through the journey and creating opportunities for them to grow.

There’s beauty in the struggle.

10 Years Ago Today…

On this day, 10 years ago, I made one of the hardest decisions of my life: I chose my kids. I chose my peace. And I chose myself.

Walking away was hard, but it was necessary.

In the years that followed, I accomplished things and reached goals on my own that once seemed impossible. I learned just how strong I could be when I had no choice but to keep going.

And now, 10 years later, I can admit that I’m still healing.

Some things still haunt me.
Some things I still need to improve.
Some things I still need to let go of.

I know God has a purpose for my life, but part of that journey is learning to see myself the way HE envisioned me.

I’m still a work in progress. I’m still growing. Still healing. Still becoming.

But one thing I’ve learned to love more through it all is ME.

I know now that I am worthy. Worthy of peace. Worthy of love. Worthy of happiness. Worthy of everything God has for me.

So, cheers to me 🥂..for finally understanding that walking away isn’t always an ending.🙌🏾

Sometimes, it’s the beginning of something beautiful.

Ten years ago, I was going through the TEST.

Today, I can look back and see how beautifully that test blossomed into my TESTIMONY. 🌸

And my story is still being written.
