Admittedly and unashamedly a Luscombe nut. I also turn aircraft engines that don’t run into engines that do run.

Last Ditch 2026 with @obrienshangar in Patience (the family 195) was a blast. First time being invited to attend, and it was lovely. Very grateful for @walterbowe and his team for putting on a great fly in. Also great seeing folks I haven’t seen in awhile, and making new friends. #vintageaviation #antiques #flyin by @slip.it

Kind of hard to describe this feeling to people who don’t get it. But there’s nothing better than a finely turned airplane. So grateful for this airplane. There also isn’t a wing like it out there to look down. #c195 #aviation #someotherkindofimportanthashtagforthealgorithm #jacobs #radialengine by @slip.it

Another Gathering of Luscombes in the books. What a blast it was to bring the Sedan up a couple days early for some much needed rest. Thanks to amazing friends, old and new, it was an unforgettable weekend. #luscombe #vintageaviation #flying #someotherhashtag #11ehsedandonchyaknow taken in Columbia Airport by @slip.it

Dropped off an IO-550-GcR to @seafury8 this morning at Ala Doble and was surprised with an amazing Mustang experience from Bernie. It was also a great treat to see @walterbowe ‘s amazing collection with my father @obrienshangar What a blast. #vintageavition #antiqueaircraft #p51mustang #continentalengines by @slip.it

Another C-85 Stroker finished up last month. This engine will be used by a scholarship program offering young adults anything from a tailwheel endorsement to a full PPL in a nice C140. Very pleased with how this one turned out. Looking forward to the next engine build. #vintageaircraft #vintageengine #continental #aviation #peoplesayhashtagsareimportantbutistillcallthempoundsigns by @slip.it

CF-LYB, a 1948 Luscombe 11A Sedan. Imported into Canada in 1957, is now at its new home here in KCMA. We are honored to be its new caretakers. It was the only airworthy Sedan of the 3 ever imported into Canada. It was also imported the same time period as the Martin Mars flying boats, which is why it is only a couple registration letters off the Mars boats. It is a flying project, and I am so excited to be able to bring it back up to spec and get it ready for its new life here. It’s also the only airplane you can look the owner in the eye and say, “that is fugly” and see the owner laugh and agree wholeheartedly. Thank you @obrienshangar for toughing out the flight home. And thank you for everyone who helped get it to where it is.
