My last semester in law school has begun!

This fall, I had the honor of hosting @civrightscorps founder and “Copaganda” author @equalityalec with @nlgasulaw

What started as a conversation about how the police manipulate the media quickly transitioned into a discussion of how lawyers can become more compassionate by interacting with artists and why your first editor should always be your grandmother.

For this semester, I have been granted two incredible opportunities. First, I am interning with Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest (ACLPI), a non-profit working on everything from education funding to voting rights, environmental protections to cash bail challenges. Second, I am serving as a research assistant with @khaledbeydoun on topics near and dear to my heart, such as Zohran’s rebuke of liberal Islamophobia and the failure of the Kennedy v. Bremerton decision.

I want to thank all my family and friends who helped me get to this point! by @slippinkoby_

I once wrote a college paper on globalization, with @skrillex as the catalyst for the popularization of dubstep and electronic music in general. I traced his roots combining British and American electronic metal with the British-immigrant origins of rave culture to create a new sound that captivated the internet, then chronicled how artists across the world were inspired by his music. Last year’s album, Quest for Fire, as well as his viral sets with @fredagainagainagainagainagain and @fourtetkieran at Coachella and Madison Square Garden, only reinforce what I wrote. Sonny’s was by far the best curated single festival day I’ve ever experienced.

1. @ahadadreamx B2B @manaraaaaaaaaaaaa combining Indian and Pakistani music with drum & bass
2. @2hollis moshpit
3. @archives.nia playing some juke, a subgenre of drum & bass popular in Chicago during the 1990s
4. Skrillex x @posij ft. @swaelee x @siiickbrain - TOO BIZZARE (juked)
5. Nia Archives - Crowded Roomz
6. Four Tet dropping some @gjonesbass, 7 years after him at this same stage
