Suzani Designs. Three days, two cities. 🧵

Born from a love affair with Istanbul’s textiles, Suzani brings together the work of artisans from around the world. Silk and cotton kaftans. Linen ponchos. Baby alpaca wraps. Raffia hats. Necklaces strung with Yemeni beads, Ottoman trimmings and recycled sari silk.

All handmade. All natural fibers. Each one of a kind.

Final day.

Betty Jäger is with us at River Oaks until 6 this evening, with her entire collection in hand. Oxidized silver, hammered and folded by hand. Raw stones held in sculptural bezels. Cage bands. Pieces that feel found rather than made.

A rare chance to see it all at once, and to meet the woman behind it.

There’s just something about green that pulls on my heartstrings. It reminds me of home. Vibrant greens, the color of dayglo moss to help us remember we’re alive, that things continue to grow, and thrive in amazing ways.
Featured here the finest Kashmiri peridot set in 22 karat gold and accented by natural green diamonds. The peridot is set upside down, to remind us of how strange, unusual and beautiful
The natural world really is.

It’s my last day in Houston, and I’d love to see you. Cmon down to Sloan/Hall from 1-6pm

Not polished. Perfected.

A rose-cut sapphire, warm as wheat, held in sterling that looks unearthed. Hammered, oxidized, studded with granulation and scattered diamonds. Betty Jager makes rings with the weight of an artifact and the ease of something you’ll never take off.

Meet Betty in person at her trunk show at sloan/hall River Oaks, today and tomorrow, 1 to 6 p.m. daily.

Betty Jäger is in San Antonio today and tomorrow, and she brought the whole studio!

Spiderwebs cut from sterling, some darkened, some set with a smoky stone or a scatter of tiny diamonds. Sculptural cocktail rings crowned with flashing labradorite in blue, violet and gold. Braided leather bolos with forged silver tips. Heavy hand-linked chains, lightning bolt earrings, hammered cuffs and fang pendants with a little edge. Hand-forged belt buckles with barbed wire and shooting stars.

Every piece made entirely by hand in her Minneapolis studio, and every one a little bit wild.

Today and tomorrow, noon to 5.
