Well another long week down. Yesterday I was up for 24 hours and literally CRASHED from fatigue. So to make up for some lost time I wanted to make up something different using what I have on hand. So tonight's first mix is a personal creation called " Rouge Berry Bliss " a deep rich and velvety dessert cocktail that let's the dark berries shine! So without any further explanation, here's what's in this mix!
.50 oz of fresh lemon juice
.75 oz of Blueberry syrup ( homemade)
.25 oz of Benedictine
.50 oz of sweet vermouth ( I used Gallow )
2 oz of Grey Goose Berry Rouge Vodka (@@greygoose )
In a shaker add ingredients and ice and shake until chilled then double strain and pour into a rocks glass and garnish ( not pictured) a lemon wedge by @slooperic

Caribbean Ocean Pop.
1 oz blue curaçao
1.5 oz of fresh lime 🍋‍🟩 juice
1/2 oz crème de coconut 🥥
2 oz of coconut rum
2 oz of orange juice
Built in glass and topped with the orange 🍊 juice.

This is the best mixed drink I have ever had. Maybe because my heart is full. Maybe because I’m so in love ❤️ and most definitely because I’m living my best life. The bartender outdid himself. Cheers. by @slooperic

Although American Independence day is long since past, the celebration of America's 250 years isn't! I was able to trace my heritage back to the early 1700 when my family's heritage begins. I am of German and Swiss decent and my family's ( father's side ) came to the colonies prior to the Revolution. My Great, Great, Great grandfather fought in the Revolution with the Carolina Fusiliers which was formed in May 1775 ( Conrad Sloop which was spelled Schlupp but changed ) and he enlisted shortly after the battles of Concord and Lexington. His unit was made official in July of the same year and was an all volunteer militia out of Charleston, South Carolina under the command of General Alexander Gillon. My 3rd generation grandfather enlisted 12 July 1775 and exited 12 March 1777.
This is another personal creation that I'll call " The Fusilier of 1776 " and made with a North Carolina Bourbon. Here's what's in this mix
2 oz of (@southerndistilling ) Southern Star Paragon Bottled in Bond Wheated Bourbon
1 oz of a high quality apple cider
.25 oz of Demerara Syrup
3-4 dashes of (@feebrothersofficial ) peach bitters
1 dash of Angostora bitters
In a mixing glass add ingredients and ice and stir until well chilled then strain and pour over a large rock and garnish with an apple slice

Cheers to the weekend as we sip the official drink of Brazil 🇧🇷, the Caipirinha. The quantities of this drink were created by the bartender of house @gmartin.photography . This drink is light, has just the right amount of sweet, and is extra limous. It’s mixed in this rocks glass. It’s my go to for watching true crimes and sitting with our dogs on the couch but also being judged by #bigfootcat. Cheers. by @slooperic

Next up is a real " Heavy Hitter " from Jamaica! Where Jamaican funk meets Oklahoma backyard mixology! Adding Smith and Cross, Appleton Estates Signature, Banana liqueur, Angostora bitters and a bruleed Banana chip for good measure equals PURE DELICIOUSNESS 😋!
A Jamaican Rum old fashioned and here's what's in the mix!
1.5 oz of Appleton Estates Signature Blend Rum
.50 oz of Smith and Cross Jamaican Rum
2 teaspoons of a banana liqueur
2 dashes of Angostora bitters
1 banana coin about. 25"
Brown sugar
In a mixing glass add ingredients ( except banana coin and brown sugar) and stir until well chilled then strain and pour over a large rock and let it chill.
Get the banana coin and brown sugar and coat one side with the brown sugar and using a cocktail smoker torch, flame the sugar until it browns and place in the drink using a toothpick or a fancy metal cocktail pick.

Next up is a dedication to my family and friends who have served in the US Navy. Now those who know me, I was Army but in my ancestry I have MANY relatives and close friends who have served in the Navy and Marine Corps. from WWll thru Vietnam and during peace time service. I also dedicate this mix to my late uncle Lloyd VanHollebeke who retired from service in 1991 as an O-4 LCDR.. at the Alameda NAS. Uncle Lloyd may you rest in peace and I your humble E-6 ( US Army) salutes you 🫡. This is a riff from " Remember the Maine " called US Dixie ( AD -14 / service from 1940-1982 decommissioned) . Same template as a Maine but swapped out the Rye for @oldforester 1920 Prohibition 115 proof .
Here's what's in this mix!
USS DIXIE ( AD-14 )
2oz of Old Forrester Prohibition 115 Prohibition proof
.50 oz of sweet vermouth
.25 oz of cherry liquer ( @heeringcherry )
2 dashes of Angostora bitters
Absinthe ( rinse for the glass) .
In a mixing glass add ingredients ( except Absinthe) ice and stir until well chilled then pour and strain into a coupe rinsed with Absinthe and garnish with a Luxardo Cherry. taken in Dickson, Oklahoma by @slooperic

Last night I was playing on YouTube after making my posts. I saw this riff of a classic sip the " Bamboo " which was made about the late 1800's- early 1900's. Flash forward to @theeducatedbarfly YouTube channel which Leandro made the " Nice One " using Amontillado Sherry wine and sweet vermouth. Well because I don't have that wine I used #drysackwines Jerez - Xe`re`s Sherry wine and Punt e Mes sweet vermouth which gave this a VERY tasty sip. Sweet but bittersweet which makes a really good nightcap. Now I hope that I'm NOT stepping on anyone's toes here because I DON'T want to infringe on copyrights or plagiarize someone either. So here's my riff on Leandro's mix, called " Wild One "
1 oz of Punt e Mes
2 oz of Dry Sack Jerez -Xe`re's Sherry wine
.25 oz of a banana liqueur ( I have Mr. Stacks )
1 or 2 dashes of orange bitters
Stir for about 20-25 seconds, strain and serve in an Upscale, Nic'n' Nora or in my case a Classic Martini glass and express orange oils and garnish with an Orange twist. taken in Dickson, Oklahoma by @slooperic
