44. ❤️

The older I get, the more I realise that life isn’t really measured in years.

It’s measured in moments.
In conversations that run too late.
In meals shared around a table.
In music, laughter, adventures, and the people who choose to spend their time with you.

This birthday stretched from Batam to Lyf Hotel, Blackbird to Monzen, and Mars Bar — but when I look back, it won’t be the places I remember most.

It’ll be the people.

Thank you Hallie, for quietly putting so much of this together — from Batam to Lyf to Blackbird, and everything in between. For the thought, the effort, and most importantly, the love behind all of it. ❤️

This year has also humbled me.

Life is short, and good health is something we often take for granted until our bodies remind us otherwise. Being overweight and going through my first gout attack this year was a wake-up call. I have some work to do, and 44 feels like a good time to start taking better care of the one body I’ve been given.

But perhaps the biggest thing I’m taking into this year is gratitude.

I’ve always placed tremendous value on friendships and relationships, and with every passing year, I understand why a little more.

People are what make a life.

Everyone who came to celebrate with me is there for a reason. Every friendship has a story. Every relationship carries memories, history, laughter, difficult moments, ridiculous moments and chapters of life that can never be recreated.

Every one of you is a gem to me, and every one of you holds a different, special place in my heart.

Time moves quickly. People change. Life changes. Nothing is promised.

So while we’re here — love your people. Make the trip. Have the dinner. Stay for another drink. Take the photo. Say what you mean. Tell people that they matter.

Because they do.

Thank you to everyone who made 44 so special.

I’m incredibly grateful that I get to do this life with all of you. ❤️
