About our new Logo•••Takeda ZenRooted in kimono, connected by Zen.“Takeda” was the surname of our founder’s great-grandmother.The family crest, called “Takeda-bishi”, features a diamond-shaped design and has been a family symbol for generations.Today, the very kimono left behind by that great-grandmother can be found being worn by her great-grandchild—right here in New York.With deep respect for our ancestors, we chose “Takeda” as our company name and incorporated the “Takeda-bishi” motif into our logo to honor this family history. Through kimono, we strive to share the aesthetic sensibilities and spirituality that breathe life into our daily routines. Just as a kimono is worn in layers, we find that life too, unfolds in layers. Illustrating our desire to deliver meaningful experiences, our logo depicts the overlapping layers of a kimono’s collar nestled within the “Takeda-bishi” motif.Bringing inherited beauty into the fabric of modern daily life.Thank you for your continued support of Takeda Zen. •••Takeda Zen Rooted in kimono, connected by Zen.武田は、founder Maria のひいおばあちゃんの名字です。 家紋には「武田菱」と呼ばれる菱形の紋が使われていました。ひいおばあちゃんが残してくれた着物を、今、ひ孫がニューヨークで纏う。 時代や場所を越えて受け継がれる想いと、ご先祖様への敬意を込めて、会社名に “takeda” を、そしてロゴマークには武田菱を取り入れました。また私たちは、着物という日本の伝統衣装を入口に、日々の暮らしや儀式の中に息づく美意識や精神性を届けるブランドです。何層にも重ねて着る着物のように、人生にもまた、豊かさや生きがい、人との繋がりが幾重にも重なっていく。 そんな体験を届けたいという想いを込めて、武田菱の中には着物の襟元が重なる姿を表現しました。受け継がれる美しさを、現代の日常へ。takeda zen を、これからもよろしくお願いいたします。 •••#japan #nyc #kimono #matchameditation by @slothnewyork
