We loved the town of Takayama in the Japanese Alps 🌲🚂🍣🪭.

Exploring the @takayama_showakan, meeting the artists & restaurant owners of the town were some of the hightlights. Winnie’s favorite was getting to know Yuko w/ the help of Google Translate. Winnie told her she loved her hair and Yuko said, “Thanks, it’s a wig” 😂 (last pic) by @slothpig

Two weeks ago, Boogie had emergency IVDD surgery after becoming paralyzed from a herniated disc. Because it happened so suddenly, he needed surgery right away to have the best chance at recovery. Today, at his two-week checkup, his neurologist said he’s doing amazing in his recovery.

Boogie showed up for us in a dark time of our lives and he has been the best friend.

If you’re able to donate or share his story, we would be incredibly grateful. Every bit of support helps Boogie on his road to recovery. 🐾

Having all the feelings of leaving Winnie’s childhood home. She was quite lucky to grow up in a cul de sac on a canyon surrounded by the most beautiful neighbors. We are ready to turn the page for our next chapter.

Boogie is truly a special hippo with quite the story. He was rescued by @theanimalpad @maisonsurerescue after suffering from a prolapsed urethra, and as a result, he underwent surgery that left him without a wee wee. Despite everything he’s been through, Boogie is full of life, wiggles & love 🤎💛

He has to have emergency surgery today and animal pad has stepped in to help us/him out 🛟🐶🫶🏽🙏🏼✨
