Basically, I’m quietly curious about everything 🫢

I notice tiny details, obsessively research things, quote films at inappropriate times, accidentally turn one word into a full song, and I will absolutely be the person checking the parking, the reviews, the menu and Street View before we go anywhere.

Because apparently all of that makes me quite good at noticing the little things that tell a story.

So here’s a slightly chaotic hello from the person behind Slow Bliss Studio ✨

The Sunday Slow No. 29 📷🤎
“The House in the Fog”

The fog had settled over the morning, softening the edges of the houses and making the familiar street feel a little quieter.

She slowed when she saw it, a house tucked behind its garden, leaves just beginning to turn, the kind that made her wonder what it felt like inside.

Maybe someone had just put the kettle on, maybe a lamp was glowing in a cosy corner, a warm mug between their hands while the mist curled outside. She imagined them looking out at the very same fog, glad to be in the warmth, while she carried on walking with cold fingers.

She loved these little glimpses of other lives. Not knowing who lived there or what the rooms looked like, just letting her mind make a small story out of a house she’d passed on an autumn walk.

Sometimes a slow morning is simply stopping long enough to imagine the warmth on the other side of the window.

A little autumn magic at @littlewindow_shop 🍂

After photographing this gorgeous shop over the summer, it was lovely to return and see it dressed for a new season.

One thing that always stays with me is how much Laragh knows about every piece. Where it came from, when it was made, the little details that might otherwise go unnoticed. She doesn't just fill the shop with beautiful things, she knows their stories, and you can feel the care she puts into choosing them.

The Sunday Slow No. 28 📷🤎
“An October Morning”

October always seemed to arrive in the kitchen first. The mornings were cooler now. She pulled her sleeves over her hands, put the kettle on and lit the candle beside the breakfast things. Outside, the trees were turning gold, and the low sun found its way through the window.

The kettle clicked off., tea was poured, toast waited under its crumpled paper, and the candle gave the room that soft, familiar glow.

It took her back to October mornings when she was little, still in her pyjamas, watching the leaves blow across the garden, the smell of toast in the air and that lovely feeling of being warm inside while the day was chilly outside.

Later there’d be coats to find, damp leaves stuck to shoes and hints of Halloween everywhere. But for now, there was just a warm mug between her hands and nowhere she needed to be.

Sometimes October’s loveliest moments are the ordinary ones that feel a bit like coming home.

The Sunday Slow No. 28 📷🤎
“After the Rain”

She was walking through the village after a shower. The air felt cool against her cheeks, carrying that earthy smell of rain on stone and fallen leaves.

The road still shone beneath the blue sky and red leaves clung to the honey-coloured cottage walls.

Her footsteps made a soft sound on the damp road, the bottom of her jeans dragging just a little. She’d been thinking about all the things she needed to do when she got home, but she slowed down as she passed the cottage.

For a moment, she just breathed in the fresh air and looked at the leaves moving gently in the breeze.

Sometimes the loveliest part of a walk is the moment that makes you forget to hurry. 🍂

I obviously love the photos. I love the styling, the light, the little details, all of it 😍📷✨

But I also love the chats before a shoot, hearing how someone started their business, what they’re proud of, what they’re trying to build and all the messy bits in between.

I think that’s why I get so invested 😂

So when a client described working with me as “like your best friend, but the one who sorts your life out for you” I genuinely thought…oh yes, I’ll absolutely take that 🥰🤎 by @slowblissstudio

The Sunday Slow No. 27 📷🤎
“Halfway Down the Stairs"

She was halfway down the stairs when she saw the candle she’d lit earlier. It was still burning on the table, it's sweet scent filling the room.

Her book was lying open where she’d left it, pages slightly bent from being put down in a hurry.
The flowers were starting to droop a little at the edges.

For once, she didn’t immediately think about what needed tidying away, she just stood there for a second.

The house was quiet, eeryone else was settled. The kind of quiet that feels different when you’ve spent the whole day being needed.

She’d meant to go straight into the kitchen, put the mugs away, sort tomorrow’s bags and check her phone.

Instead, she walked over to the table, pulled the chair out and sat down. Just for a minute...

She picked the book back up.

The jobs could wait.

Sometimes the nicest part of the day is the bit you almost rush straight through.
