Gesture Theater & slowDANCE are proud to present NEW VOICES, the robot show by Lou Sydel. August 8+9th at @creaturespacenyc 🤖 TICKETS IN BIO!

Live sound by Jo Weinberg
@clouds_marbles_pianos_puppies

Guest performances:
Lulu Munteanu @lulumunte
& Peet Elizalde @peteralfredelizalde

NEW VOICES peers into the history of technologically generated voices and the trans experience of building a new voice. We meet a range of masked characters, from the 1939 World’s Fair “Voice Operation Demonstrator” to Amazon’s Alexa and more. What can we learn about ourselves by looking at how we interact with artificial voices?
