Bob Balch @playthisriff here. Working on some new SLOWER stuff (cover songs played slow and low). We’ve gone in a different direction with this one. We’re covering all sorts of songs, not just SLAYER tunes. We’ve got @scottreeder on bass, @amy_barrysmith on vocals, and @esbenwillems on drums for this tune.

Can you tell what song it is?

Bob Balch here @playthisriff Recording some guitars for the new SLOWER record today. @slower_666 These two @reverendguitars are getting lots of love. The red one is a Baritone Descent I’m using for rhythms, and the blue one is my signature guitar with a Floyd for leads. River’s Edge for visuals. Sounding HEAVY! by @slower_666

Here is a short preview of our cover of the METALLICA song “The Thing That Should Not Be,” featuring MIKE SCHEIDT from YOB and AMY TUNG BARRYSMITH from YEAR OF THE COBRA and AMENRA on vocals, SCOTT REEDER from KYUSS on bass, BOB BALCH from FU MANCHU on guitar, and ESBEN WILLEMS from MONOLORD on drums.

This record will feature covers from a wide range of different bands. What would you like to hear?
