I wanted to wrap up the year by providing a little snapshot of what SIG is and how we came to be. It was really born from a frustration of not being able to find the clothes I wanted available locally. Someone has to sell them…it might as well be me!

I’m very grateful for all the support I’ve received in the launch of this little business. I’m always happy to chat about products, take suggestions and collaborate. So excited to see everyone in the year to come ❤️

Hi there! I’m Erin and am thrilled to introduce you to (S)low Impact Goods, a longtime dream that is solidifying into reality.

(S)low Impact Goods is a new, Phoenix-area pop-up shop focused on ethically and sustainably-made clothing and other lifestyle goods. However, for me, it’s also so much more than that. I want this shop to be an opportunity to connect, build community and start conversations about how we can be better to each other and the earth.

My goal has been to curate a collection of unique, accessibly-priced products that are good for people and reduce environmental harm. This means production practices that honor people and resources, along with integration of reusable products that reduce waste. I want to encourage each of us to take tiny steps to make the world a better, more colorful and kind place.

Creating this business has been a labor of love that wouldn’t be possible without the encouragement, emotional support and feedback I have received from many among the way. It is with much nervous excitement, anticipation and gratitude that I invite you to join me in this new adventure.

In what feels possibly sudden, but also not at all…I have decided that my pop-up @moxiecoffeeco this Saturday will be my last. Maybe not forever, but for now.

Starting and running SIG has been everything to me. It gave me a positive outlet and purpose when I needed it. It showed me the things I was capable of. It made me stop and think - MANY times - about what ethical and sustainable consumption really looks like.

I had so many incredible conversations with so many of you. And I felt more connected to my community than ever. This was the best part.

Right now, I’m in an entirely new chapter in my professional life. (For those who don’t know, I’m an occupational therapist.) I’m finding fulfillment there in a way I thought I might never again. But it’s got me BUSY. One thing you may not truly realize about a small business is that there is a ton of work behind the scenes. Setup, take down, pricing items, sourcing items (even tougher when you’re trying to do so ethically!), paying taxes, tracking inventory, securing your documentation…it’s a lot. And I just don’t have the mental capacity for it right now.

Again, I couldn’t be more grateful for each of you and your support of (s)low impact goods. This work got me through a dark period and I learned so much.

There will be lots of discounts at moxie on 5/9, so come out and help me empty out inventory and go out with a bang! I can’t wait to see ya ❤️🦥🌎

This holiday season I’ve got a small but mighty lineup. In the interest of enjoying the season and building balance - I’m only participating in these few select markets but I am SO EXCITED to do all these and see my sustainable cuties for some shopping.

The world feels heavy right now, and I refuse to ignore that. There’s so much pain, uncertainty, and exhaustion in the air — and I’ve been feeling it too.

But in my birthday week, I’m reminding myself that it’s still okay to look for light. To hold space for joy, even in small ways.

Um….how is it May already?! Only a few events this month, but they’re all exciting!

First up is my very first @localtrade.az on 5/10! If you haven’t been to one of their events in the past, they’re always SO well done with lots of great vendors. This one is located at 20th Street and Camelback, in the shopping center where Trader Joe’s is! It’s a sprawling market through the whole complex and so cool.

Next up is a very special partnership with @sundaymournings_ in the form of a Mother’s Day brunch for grieving daughters. I’m very open about the fact that my own mom passed away suddenly many years ago. Every Mother’s Day since has been a sad reminder of all I’m missing out on. This year, we’ll come together in support and community.

And on 5/19 I’m SUPER excited to join @moxiecoffeeco for their birthday party celebration! This is literally one of my favorite local businesses and I’m so honored to participate - more details coming soon! by @slowimpactgoods

I recently had the absolute pleasure of meeting Lauren, owner of @localnomadshop. Her store is arguably one of the most well curated shops in Phoenix so I was super excited to connect with her. Little did I know that she’s also an amazing human who genuinely cares VERY greatly about the Phoenix community and creating a space of respite in this wild world.

Lauren very generously offered to have me pop up outside her store - so we’re making it happen this Saturday! This is my only event in April and I have some REALLY good stuff in general, but lots of pretties on the clothing rack waiting to be a treasured piece in your wardrobe.

Cant wait to hang out in one of my favorite spaces all day Saturday 💕 @uptownplazaphx is such a vibe. Sipping passionfruit black tea from AJ’s all day and chatting sustainable goods with you….what could be better? 😘 by @slowimpactgoods

March calendar is small but mighty, folks.

I’m genuinely so so excited to be a part of each of these events. I love connecting with you guys. The market calendar might be a little more slim going forward as I focus on prioritizing time for myself, but that doesn’t mean I don’t ABSOLUTELY cherish the opportunity to be a part of this Phoenix small biz community.
