Let’s decorate: A Modern Ranch Home by the Sea. ⛵️

Creating these moodboards is genuinely one of my favorite things to do. I could totally lose myself in the process and do this all day, haha. They’re such a simple yet effective way to establish the overall feeling, atmosphere, and direction of a space before bringing it to life.

What type of mood are we creating next for this series? taken in Somewhere by the Sea by @slowspaceco

A personal read: “The Stange Grief of Being Free as a Bird” ~ now on the Slow Substack. 🌊 On meeting yourself in the ‘Messy Middle’, trying not to rush this season even though sometimes that is all you want.

Slow flow with meeee! I’m hosting a Slow Space Sunday morning so we can start September off right & fully relaxed.

Think: a grounding meditation, intention setting, a slow flow that makes you feel good in your body, sounds that take you out of your head and into space, and a deeply nourishing savasana (if you know my classes, you know this is not something I rush🫠).

~ September 6th
~ At the beautiful Eemklooster (Amersfoort) surrounded by nature.
Serene Warrior Studio (mats included)
~ Space for 10 people
~ €15
~ Free parking

You can DM me to claim your spot.

There’ll be time for a drink + a good convo afterwards. 🤍 taken in Eemklooster by @slowspaceco

Forever bringing the calm of the ocean into your home. In my latest Substack, I share 5 subtle ways to do just that, without losing that luxurious, rich feel. 🐚 (linkinbio)

A new Slow Space project. Scroll through the after & before transformations as we take you through some design choices ~>

Can you believe this is the same point of view as the previous slide? We removed everything that blocked the view, opened up the space, and completely reimagined the floor plan that will now fully serve the new owners and the way they live.

We’ve created 1 big open space with grounding colors & materials, combined with soft shapes. And we can never forget a bit of contrast for character so the space doesn’t become flat.

As you can see in the previous slide we moved the kitchen, so the area where the kitchen was originally located, became a cosy tv nook for the owners to watch their favorite films.

The wide-open space, surrounded by expansive windows, was designed for connection. With the the versatility of a modular sofa that allows to take in the views from every angle.

Said goodbye to the colored accent walls and different objects and fluff competing for your attention. Instead, we designed a cohesive space with clean lines where every element works in harmony, creating a sense of calm where your nervous system can truly relax. taken in The Netherlands by @slowspaceco

Wake & Regulate with me ~ Slow movement (every move for 1 min) before your coffee to hydrate your fascia, calm your nervous system and get that energy flowing. Bonus points if you walk barefoot while letting the sunshine softly soak into your skin. Happy days. 🌞

When our client wants to feel:
~ Instantly at peace when they walk into their home.
~ Overstimulation and outside noise melting away.
~ As if they are at their favourite place on earth: the beach (without creating the typical ibiza vibe).
~ Their love for nature by bringing back rich, layered, earthy tones & textures.
~ Alive, with its natural balanced imperfection.

>>> This is the moodboard we create as our guiding thread. The feeling we’ll translate into every corner of their new home.

Do you see the vision?🩵
