POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
We’ll be gathering for an intimate Slow Stories Circle, a private dining evening with a gentle guided drawing led by @dazewithdanli

This session is called Drawing Through Three Doors.

We’ll reflect on what we’re ready to release, what we hold in gratitude, and what we gently look toward with hope.

A quiet, simple way to see how life moves through us.

Come as you are.
Leave a little lighter.

Six women gathered around a slow food table on a rare Monday afternoon. Taking the time off to remember what it feels like to connect, laugh, and savour nourishment through food and company.

And just like that, the very first @slowstoriescircle was born.
2 February. Perfect timing.

Our first guest was @drshaunatan, founder of @bareness.skin, who gently guided us through our opening session.
Totally unplanned - her birthday falls on 22 December, and my life path number, 22. A little nod to the master number of alignment on 2 February.

Shauna and I first met more than a decade ago in the most magical way. Since then, we’ve quietly watched each other grow - as women, founders, and humans navigating our own paths.

Around the table, stories unfolded.

Conversations about creative autonomy, building brands without losing our identities in them, and the lonely yet beautiful transition from starting alone to becoming team players.

We spoke about the reality of entrepreneurship, the courage to look forward, even when the path is uncertain.

Everyone at the table carried a story.

Dr Shauna Tan, who understood early the pressures of conforming to ideals of appearance, and chose to dedicate her craft to helping others feel confident in their own skin.

@eywa.sg’s founder, @dada_the_explorer who navigated eczema, alopecia and illness before discovering healing through food, now guiding others to nourish themselves deeply.

J of @jammys.sg , who began in a tiny home kitchen after growing tired of choosing between her love for desserts and her health.

@kellyseratelier, once a scholar at 18 studying at some of the world’s top universities, who after 12 years in civil service chose to pursue her true passion, shaping Singapore’s art landscape.

@jerequeen, a corporate high-flyer learning the art of slowing down.

@mukti.joy, a mindfulness coach devoted to bringing presence and joy to the people around her.

Stories shared openly.
Laughter that lingered long after lunch ended.

Moments like these remind me how powerful it is when people gather, simply as humans, not titles.

Our very first Slow Stories Circle.
And hopefully, the beginning of many more. 🙏🏼💗 taken in Bukit Timah, Singapore by @slowstoriescircle

*RESCHEDULED TO A LATER DATE - AND WORTH THE WAIT.*

Edition #2 of Slow Stories Circle is one I’ve been quietly excited about.

This time, Melody Tan @meowiie joins us at the table.

Founder of @amestudio.co. Modern nomad. Cross-disciplinary creative. She left Singapore years ago to build a life in Stockholm, chasing beauty, freedom, and her own becoming.

You may know her for the enviable travel shots, the fearless fashion, the big presence. But what draws me to her is the in-between, the courage to leave, the discipline to build, the vulnerability of navigating dreams in real time.

We met when she was 19 and I was 29.
One gathering turned into a sleepover.
Which turned into an early morning wet market run.

We bonded over heritage dishes, ceramics, and manifestations.
Two women at different life stages, both hungry for more.

This edition is a return to that hunger.

A slow table.
Honest stories of departure, reinvention, ambition, softness.

I’ll be crafting a Slowfood menu inspired by her energy — vibrant, childlike, adventurous, quietly driven.

Seats are intentionally limited.
This is not a crowd.
It’s a connection.

If you’ve been craving depth, intimacy, and the kind of evening that lingers long after dessert, this one is for you.

Slow Stories Circle is my way of gathering people back to what matters: real conversations, shared meals, and stories that feel lived-in, not polished.

For our first Private Dining Edition, we sit together with @drshaunatan, founder of @bareness.skin, as she shares her journey of stepping beyond comfort to build a brand rooted in intention, courage, and truth.

This is a space for community, not performance.
For listening as much as speaking.
For stories that unfold slowly, over food, in good company made with love by @catslavery

My purpose is simple:
to create a table where like-minded souls can meet, connect, and feel a little less alone.

If you’ve been longing for that kind of gathering,
come join us @theslowhouse.

I started this account two years ago.
Back then, it was called Slow Stories Community.
I knew I wanted to do something with it,
to help, to support, to share.

But I didn’t yet know how.

I wanted to provide a space to allow others share their journeys. Not in blame, not in shame, not in self-victimisation or judgement but in a way that empowers and liberates.

A space where our voices remind us:
we are braver than we think.

A few weeks ago, the simplest thought landed.
Honest. Vulnerable. Transformative.
What if we rewrote our own inner narrative—
and in doing so, offered the next generation
a living archive of what love really means?
What a marriage can be.
What a divorce really is.
What healing makes possible.

Because these stories are not just ours.
They are seeds for those who come after—for our children, for the next generation,
to remember that endings are also beginnings,
and that love, always, starts with self.

Welcome to Slow Stories Circle.
Your story belongs here. 🌙

Stay close. More to come.
