Did the entire cooling system, new CCV, all the intake gaskets, injector o-rings, filter housing gasket + new check valve and now the rear ball joints. Haven’t driven the car in about a month but we’re getting there.

Little throwback to @dstrct.ro 2026 that took place back in May. No need for words, the builds speak for themselves. One of my favorites has to be the 850. Such an unassuming looking wagon. Quite the sleeper.

Very nice location as well. Nature and clean builds go very well together.

Hats off to all the owners who put in the work and time and brought their cars for us to salivate over.

Postponed doing the oil filter housing gasket for a while, but since I’ll be refreshing the cooling system, I decided to use the “wHiLe YoU’rE iN tHeRe” approach. And wHiLe I wAs In ThEre, I decided to change the old plastic and no longer sealing check valve with the full metal machined @klifex.ua one. Fits nicely and seems to be sealing just fine. by @slowthreenine

1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT & GTA brochure. The Giulia GTA is up there with the BMW 2002 Turbo for me. Just a dream to look at. Such a simple yet exquisite design.

Throwback to my first car, a ‘95 Mk3 Golf GT Variant. A hand-me-down car from my older brother. I loved this car since my brother bought it back in 2002 after selling his Dacia Super Nova. Needless to say, the Golf was a spaceship compared to the Dacia which was outdated straight out the factory gates.

Learned a lot about what it means to have and maintain a car from this modest Golf.

It was essentially a rusted out shitbox but since I didn’t know anything about cars at the time, it seemed like the logical next step was to get a full custom exhaust and coilovers. The final “mod” was a set of OZ Ultraleggera with Toyo Proxes R888R to cap it off.

Meanwhile the car kept breaking down almost weekly, ending up in the shop more than on the street.

All my paychecks went into repairs, probably started balding from the stress I went through with it but when it ran, I was the happiest man on the street.

Finally ended up having a minor crash only 2 weeks after an engine rebuild and decided it’s time to pull the plug on this car.

Even though I loved it and still check marketplace for one of these from time to time, it was an unexplainable relief when I crashed and just decided it’s time to let die.

Would I do it all over again knowing all this? Yes, yes I would.

Sometimes the E39 gets a bit boring until you take it for a longer drive and stretch its legs. Then you’re reminded how comfortable yet dynamic it feels for a small land barge, even with the 2 litre milk bottle engine.

1975 BMW 2002 Brochure. My favorite classic BMW. Small, simple, lightweight, RWD, the best combo in my opinion. Just a honest little car you could fuck around with in ‘70s.
