Finished a second 5x7 wood panel! 🌷 Inspired by a pretty photo of a bridge I found. It definitely is more of a spring/summer scene, which I'm looking forword to (as much as I love seeing snow, it's so cold here !) . . #acrylicpainting #woodlandart #nature #wildlife #traditionalartist by @slrose.art
Peachtober day 31, moth 🧡 Last peachtober prompt!! I may have gotten a little burnt out and needed a slower piece to work on, so I didn't get to a lot of the ones I wanted to do.. I did manage one more than last year though! That aside I reallyyy love this one and the autumn color pallette. For some reason I struggle to capture warm tones but think this turned out well! Happy halloween 🫶🎃 . . #peachtober #peachtober26moth #autumnartwork #mothart #acrylicpainting by @slrose.art
October in color day 18, medieval 🌀°˖✧ Jumped to another prompt list! My main inspiration for this page came from the medieval unicorn tapestries, and how plants were often arranged to fill up space. And yes it is Coraline themed !! I really love referencing media I enjoy and don't get to it as much as I want to. The garden scene and set is just so magical to me, so I really wanted to include some of those elements :) . . #octoberincolor #coraline #coralinemovie #watercolor #medievalart by @slrose.art
Kawafitober day 16, dragonfly princess ✨️ Sooo I may have spent way too long on this. Watching the speedpaint makes me laugh 😭 I couldn't decide on her outfit design aah.. but I did stop in the end and like how simple it is . . #kawafitober26 #kawafitober26day16 #characterart #illustration #fantasyart by @slrose.art
Peachtober day 12, bramble 🌿 Clearly i'm drawn to the naturey prompts hehe.. kept this one unfinished with thinner layers of paint, I always like how the underpainting peeks through :) . . #peachtober26 #peachtober26bramble #acrylic #foliageart #sketchbook by @slrose.art
Peachtober day 9, flowerbed ⋆˙˖🌷🌜 My first thought for this one was an animal asleep in a flowerbed, so quite literal but up my alley! I have so many pins saved of borzois and now was the time to draw one 🥹 . . #peachtober26 #peachtober26flowerbed #digitalpainting #animalart #nature by @slrose.art
Day 6 of #kawafitober26 - a teapot home 🌱🫖 Thought this prompt was really cute!! I'd love to live a cozy life in a teapot :') I admit the teapot is my least favorite part, it feels cartoon ish and lazy for me, but I couldn't bring myself to start over.. I do think the page's color pallette is nice though . . #kawafitober26day6 #acrylicart #sketchbookspread #whimsical by @slrose.art
Day 1 of #peachtober26 - oak 🍂 Happy October!! This will be my second year participating in prompt lists for the month and I've been so excited to start :) Like last year, I picked out days from a few different lists I like. I won't be doing one every day, but will try to share the ones I finish. Starting out with a little mixed media page for oak 🧡 . . #peachtober26oak #autumnart #sketchbook #mixedmediaart by @slrose.art
Day 20 of Folktember: Naiad 🫧 ⋆˙⟡ Sadly the only prompt I got to for #folktember as I've been planning for october prompts too, but it was very fun! I know naiads are traditionally not depicted with wings, but I couldn't help it...definitely not surprising I'm sure..! The water part itself I think could be better, I was kind of adding things to fill space, though I do like how mysterious the location is. It feels like the character's domain that we've fallen into (I did not plan any of this lol) . . #folktember2026 #naiad #mythologyart #faeart digitalpainting by @slrose.art
More bird cuties, they're so fun to draw <3 🐦 I added the border and background a bit spontaneously, and noticed it's often these choices that make me enjoy my process and art more in the end! . . #birdart #pigeon #hummingbird #digitalpainting by @slrose.art
Can't escape the pink + green combo!! 🌷🪽 I've been getting comfortable with painting looser and really love how this one turned out, especially how the underpainting peeks through on the humming bird :') . . #hummingbirdart #whimsy #traditionalpainting #acrylic #artistsofinstagram by @slrose.art
Changing up the underpaint color with this one 🌼 I chose a medium yellow vs the magenta or red I've been using a lot! On another note, lately every time I finish a painting or drawing I fall back into art block and lack of inspiration/motivation to start something new 😭 I've tried a few things, but can't seem to pass it completely.. would love to know if anyone has ways they cope with this !! . . #sketchbookspread #botanicalart #flowers #acrylicpainting by @slrose.art
