rest in peace to a truly admirable man in my life. a man who served our country, a man who adored his wife, a hardworking man, a man who went above and beyond to take care of the details so that everyone around him could enjoy life. i would never be able to repay all the generosity that he has given throughout the years, he was so selfless.

i’m so lucky to have had the privilege to spend 24 summers at 122 75th street in sea isle city where he purchased a home in 1976. him and my grandmother created a home filled with so much love and so many memories, made with our family, that i will forever cherish in my heart. he loved family so much. he used to always say “family isn’t everything it’s the only thing” and that reflected in his actions as well.

i feel so grateful to have had him as a grandfather. i’ll always remember the way he placed care into everything. even the little things, he made feel special. i hope he knows that he left this world a better place, which i’d say is the ultimate goal for our time spent here.

i find comfort in the fact that i am now living in an apartment building that he had once worked in. i had no idea until after i told him where i was going to be living, how special 🥺 i also find comfort in the fact that he will now be reunited with his sweetheart, my grandmother.

i hope you’re up there with her singing all the songs that you love and slow dancing together as you would. i am a better person because you were my grandfather. i love you forever, pop. i’ll see you again someday 🤍🕊️ by @slutzzz
