Just because Sunday in Japan:

I walk past this shop on the way to my son’s jiujitsu dojo three times a week, and every time it takes me back to being a kid.

Baseball season starting, new gear in the window… now with their hero Ohtani next to an old, once-was Hideo Nomo plaque in the window.

With the WBC going on, the nostalgia hits even harder. I never go inside though. I like leaving that feeling right where it is.

Some memories are better unfinished. ⚾️

As I posted this, Ohtani with a “hold my beer” moment to Acuna Jr. 😆.

Thank you 🙏 so much for a wonderful meal, atmosphere, and providing an authentic staple of Hokkaido done the right way. A very warm and cozy experience.

Brag incoming about grandma:

It’s just the small things… Thankful to still have my grandmother in my life. Thousands of miles away yet we still remain close. The small Mariners vintage car is just friggin awesome for the collection and the cursive handwriting on a greeting card still impresses me in a world of lost art and etiquette, hers is a timeless treasure.

Love you, Elsie Sandberg. Merry Christmas! 🎄

Another good day at BJJ class. Stay the course son. Congrats to his teammates as well, absolute team effort training together every week/weekend to be where they are.
