"What's Locked Behind That Door?" is a finalist in the Cantarel section of the 19th Amarcort Film Festival in Rimini, Italy. The festival takes place in Federico Fellini's hometown and describes itself as the only festival in the world dedicated to the legendary director.

Amarcort began in 2008 with two nights of short films on Rimini's beach. It has since grown into a citywide festival, celebrating both new filmmakers and Fellini's legacy, including the artists who helped bring his films to life.

It's a pleasure to be part of a festival so rooted in film history. The awards ceremony takes place November 28. taken in Rimini, Italy by @sly.dog.studio

Sweet, my music video has been selected for Experimental Superstars #12 in Novi Sad, Serbia, November 12–14, at the city's Creative District.

Experimental Superstars is an independent festival built around experimental film, documentary and music video, with a real interest in the relationship between image and sound. The Creative District is a restored industrial complex on the Danube, with a century of factory buildings now given over to contemporary work.

Thanks to festival director Filip Markovinović and producer Nataša Markovinović for including the film in this year's selection.

What's Locked Behind That Door? has been selected for @fotogenia_festival, Mexico City's international cinepoetry and divergent narratives festival, taking place in November.

Fotogenia celebrates cinepoetry, experimental cinema, video art, and avant-garde film, embracing unconventional approaches to storytelling. It's a space built for work that doesn't fit inside traditional festival categories.

Grateful to have the work recognized, and glad to be part of a festival so committed to experimentation and cinematic expression.

Lights, camera... Bilbao! Selected for Bideodromo International Experimental Film and Video Festival in Bilbao, Spain, this October.

"What's Locked Behind That Door?" will screen alongside work from artists whose films have appeared at Rotterdam, SXSW, Diagonale, Punto de Vista, and other major international festivals. Pretty incredible company for an experimental program.

The film pulls its central conflict from a 1962 B-movie about a doctor who hides his ethical violations behind the language of scientific progress. The idea stuck with me: how institutions can rationalize harm when the people responsible for oversight are the ones committing it.

Grateful to Bideodromo for the selection, and especially for bringing together such an interesting group of artists this year.

This week I've had a little time to focus on developing my website in @rive.app. Just need to wire up the buttons, populate some details, do a bunch more animation, and then perhaps next year it will be finished! :) by @sly.dog.studio

Working on implementing a gear/piston concept into a music video. It took a couple days of trial & error, but the piston/gear rig is finally working. Claude python skills to the rescue. by @sly.dog.studio
