Some tattoos deserve a second life. 💀

From an old, faded skull to a completely reimagined piece in black and grey realism.

This cover-up was all about transforming what was already there into something darker, stronger, and full of depth.

Same skin. New story.

“I chose this life. I use the night, I became the night, sooner or later I’ll go down. It might be the Joker, or Two-Face, or just some punk who gets lucky. My decision. No regrets.”🦇

Batman brought to life in full color. Really enjoyed translating that classic animated feel into skin. I also do colour tattoos for the people that ask for it.

“Is there anybody out there?”

A little Pink Floyd The Wall brought to life.
Breaking through the bricks, one piece at a time.
Had a blast working all the texture, colour and chaos into this one. 🧱🔥
Pink Floyd inspired piece from one of the most iconic movies and albums ever made.

What can I say about @livehardphatz as a friend and client. He’s been in my life for the last 37 years and has supported and donated his entire body to be over the last 20😭. And I did this piece as a collab with my other brother @sly_tattoos . He came into my life by chance and it was one of the best things that ever happened. Love you guys❤️ by @sly_tattoos

An eagle doesn’t ask permission to fly. 🦅

Had a lot of fun putting this piece together — realism, movement, texture and a whole lot of detail packed into one arm. The goal was to make the eagle feel powerful without losing the flow of the American flag around it.

Definitely one of those pieces where you keep finding little details the longer you look.

Done here in Edmonton 🇨🇦

Would you wear something like this?

Here’s the thing about magpies ,everyone knows the folklore, one for sorrow, two for joy, all that. But nobody talks about how genuinely difficult they are to draw well. That iridescent shift in the tail feathers isn’t just black, it’s blue, green, almost purple depending on the light — and if you paint it flat black you’ve basically drawn a crow with main character energy.

So this one took some convincing on the color work. Wanted the wing caught mid-fold, not just posed straight down the arm — something that reads like movement even when the arm’s not moving. The curl of the tail wrapping back toward the elbow was the whole point.

Corvids are criminally underrated in tattooing. Everyone wants the eagle, the owl, the raven if they’re feeling edgy. Meanwhile magpies are out here being smarter than most birds, weirdly good-looking, and nobody’s booking them.

Anyway. This is now my unofficial pitch for more magpies. Bring me your weird bird ideas. #edmondrealestate #yegtattooartist #yegtattoo #birdtattoos #yeglocalbusiness taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @sly_tattoos

This client came last minute before going back to work away, she’s been thinking about this dragon tattoo for a long time, she gave me the idea and freedom to do my own and this is the result..

@kehli.warrington .warrinnton Thankyou so much for the freedom and sitting so well for it.

Black & grey realism has always been one of my favorite styles because it rewards patience. Building depth, texture, and contrast is what brings a design to life and gives it the longevity it deserves.
Thanks for trusting me with this dragon.

Books are open in Edmonton.

If you’re looking for custom work that is designed specifically for your body, send me a message and let’s create something unique.

A father’s love has no limits. 🧡

This piece was created as a symbol of support, strength, and standing beside his daughter as she battles blood cancer. Every fight is easier when you know you’re not facing it alone.

Thank you for trusting me with such a meaningful tattoo.

Hours of dedication went into this full forearm piece. Black and grey realism bringing together powerful religious symbolism—Christ, the crown of thorns, and the Sacred Heart. Thank you for trusting me with your story. 🖤 taken in Edmonton, Alberta by @sly_tattoos
