My year of Fifty and Fabulous has taken a slight detour. 💗

I certainly didn’t expect breast cancer to become part of my story, but here we are. I appreciate your prayers, love, and good thoughts as I walk through this new journey.

This Wednesday, September 2nd, is GAME DAY!

I’m ready. I’m hopeful. I’m at peace. And most importantly, I know God is in control.

Just when I thought I was coming down from my 50th Birthday Celebration HIGH… I received the most BEAUTIFUL recap of my AMAZING night… and whew… here come the tears of JOY all over again.

I am still in awe. Still smiling. Still feeling so incredibly LOVED.
Through every moment captured, I am reminded of just how blessed I am to have such an amazing village—family, friends, sisters, and supporters—who showed up and showed OUT to celebrate me. My heart is truly full.

To my amazing husband, Kevin… thank you for seeing me in a way that made you say, “She deserves to be celebrated BIG.” I would have never planned something like this for myself, but you did—and you made it unforgettable. Thank you for loving me out loud and for choosing me every single time.

Melanee, my Jack & Jill Sister Mom and phenomenal Event Planner… you brought the vision to LIFE. The space, the details, the flow—everything was absolutely PERFECT. Thank you for creating such a beautiful experience for me and my guests.

What a truly unforgettable time we had in Washington, DC, celebrating my fabulously beautiful friend, Nakita.

Friends since 1985, we’ve walked through every stage of life together, and this trip was all about honoring her milestone 50th birthday. Throughout the trip, we laughed until we cried, encouraged one another spiritually and mentally, sang along to the soulful sounds of Maxwell, enjoyed wonderful meals, and spoke words of positivity and greatness into each other’s lives. Every detail of this celebration reflected the love and thoughtfulness that Nakita so graciously poured into planning it.

It was a beautiful experience with beautiful women—a time to reset, refocus, and embrace the joy of simply being ourselves while celebrating the remarkable woman we are blessed to call our friend. taken in Washington D. C. by @slyoung376

We celebrated our 1st Born’s 22nd Birthday this weekend. We went to a new spot in the city for his birthday dinner where we enjoyed the great food, music, ambiance, and most of all each other. Happy Birthday, Christian! Christian Young Kevin Young by @slyoung376
