Dear Bulldog Bowling,

Thank you for the best 4 years. From starting bowling because to middle school PE, to setting an unbreakable school record in the first individual 300 game in program history, no words can describe with this program has meant to me.

Reflecting on the last 4 years it is really hard to say good bye. I never wanted it to end, but wow did senior year fly by. Knowing how prestigious the program was as a freshman, being a 4 year varsity starter and a 3 year captain is definitely an honor.

While this year was a bit of a roller coaster, from being stuck in Detroit the morning of the 1st meet and bowling on 4 hour of sleep, to setting history with a 300 at state qualifying, to unfortunately ending 9th in the sate for the second consecutive year, I know I left everything I had out on the lanes.

Thank you Coach Jones and Coach Brady for all the help and guidance the last 4 years. I never would be where I am today without them.

Thank you ball rep @cduran240 for fixing my problems on a moments notice. Hustle M&M is king.

Thank you to all of my teammate. Bowling would not be enjoyable without the fun practices and smack talking.

Thank you to my family for all of the support. Starting bowling very late and needing the best equipment right away definitely wasn’t cheap, but they were always there.

Thank you to all of the fans and supporters who came out and watched. Your energy and cheers never go unnoticed.

While the program will look a little different next year, I know that the shoes will be filled and the BULLDOG DOMINANCE WILL CONTINUE. Much love Bulldog Nation!!🐶🎳❤️

sophomore season came to an end today…

going into this year i set some very high goals for myself. before i graduate, i want so set every record in the school for bowling. while i did technically break the single season average record (212.7) with an average of 213, trevor caught fire late in the season and broke the record with a 216 average.

i also took a roll as captain and leader for the team this year. confidence is one of the most powerful things in bowling and giving encouragement and support is vital to the success of the team. also just keeping everyone positive and motivated helped us all year.

after missing out on state last year it was a very big goal to make it to waterloo this year. we won the substate meet with a score of 3091. individually i missed out on the state tournament by 4 pins, while shooting a 653 (217.6 average). even though i did shoot better than other kids in the state who qualified, our district is stacked and it took just a little bit more to make it for individuals.

at state we started out slow with a 914 total after our first 5 games. we got things back together and finished the 15 game block with a score of 3044 (202.9 average). that was enough to get us the 4 seed in bracket play. we got paired against Decorah who shot lights out against us. in the 4 games the scores were 207-226, 233-231, 179-205, and 180-185. they went on to getting runner up in the tournament.

while making the state tournament was a big goal, finishing in the quarterfinals wasn’t what we were wanting.

fortunately for me i have 2 years remaining. but a big shoutout goes to the varsity seniors of caden, taylor, and noah who will be graduating in may. it has been so fun bowling with them the last 2 years and best of luck in you next adventures.

thank you to all the fans and family members that have supported us this entire season.

this season has been nothing but growth and improvement as a bowler and a person. there is still a massive fire burning inside to get back and win a state championship next year. as coach jones has told me “it’s just more fuel for the fire”. by @smacgregor9999
