⁡ ⁡ ⁡ “Weaving life with family and village” 家族と、村と、つむぐ物語 ⁡ On Day 4 of Planet Local Summit, we joined a field trip. With Angmo @chochoangmo a young farmer and mushroom entrepreneur @ladakhmushrooms , we visited Likir village. 
Past barley fields, we reached her home, welcomed by warm faces and tables colorful with apricots, apples, and dried fruits. 
Smiling parents, the Goba village leader (past and present), an artist uncle, an Amchi aunt (traditional doctor)… one by one she introduced them. ⁡ When I asked if they were all relatives, Angmo laughed: “Well….villagers!” For her, villagers probably feel like family. Everyone was proud to see Angmo bringing Summit friends to her home. ⁡ But when she first said she wanted to farm, her family resisted. A girl coming back alone? Villagers doubted too. ⁡ So she started mushroom.
She began small, failed many times, but after years her family was finally convinced. ⁡ Now her mushrooms are almost sold out to restaurants, she’s in the media, has won many awards. ⁡ She cultivates the fields, harvests fruit trees passed down generations, and grows her business with the warm support around her. ⁡ Nothing can be done alone. 
I am here
because of family, 
because of village. ⁡ Listening to Angmo, I thought of youth in Japan and around the world, returning to their roots to start something new. ⁡ So grateful to @localfutures_ladakh @localfutures_ for opening these paths🙏💫 Thanks to Katie @gaiashantii for following your intuition! So glad we could explore Likir together ♡ ⁡ ⁡ Summit 4日目は、4つの村にわかれてのフィールドトリップ。若き農家でマッシュルームの事業も立ち上げた Angmoの案内でLikir村へ ⁡ 大麦畑を横目に家に着くと、家族なのか、村人なのか、とにかくたくさんの人たちが！ ⁡ ニコニコ顔のお父さん、お母さん 村のリーダーGoba、前のGoba、アーティストのおじさん、アムチ（伝統医）をしている叔母さん、、、どんどん登場する ⁡ 村が恋しくて戻ってきた 彼女が語っていた言葉があらわすつながりが、目の前に立ち現れた ⁡ 彼女が農家になるために村に帰ってきたいと言った時、家族も村の人たちも反対したそう。女の子がひとりで村に帰ってくるなんて！って ⁡ それなら、と、彼女がはじめたのがマッシュルームの事業。小さくはじめて、失敗も重ねて、家族に納得してもらうまで数年かかったという ⁡ 美しい畑を耕し、果樹を収穫しながら、周りのあたたかい応援とともに自分の事業も育む彼女 ⁡ ひとりではなにもできない 家族がいるから 村のみんながいるから わたしはいま、ここにいる ⁡ Angmoの話を聞いていると、日本でも、世界でも、そうして生まれた場所に戻ってなにかに挑戦する若者の姿が思い浮かぶ ⁡ ラダックの若者たち、本当にパワフルであたたかかった。彼女の物語は @greenz_jp で連載中の “ROOTS to the Future” で！ ⁡ ⁡ @smanladakh @helenanorberghodge #rootstothefuturegreenz by @smanladakh
