Whether they’re pursuing careers in medicine, engineering, education, law, business, the arts, public service, or the military, one thing is certain—these Mustangs are ready to lead, serve, and shine wherever they go.

🏺History Comes to Life 📜

Our Ancient History students traveled back in time to explore one of the most influential innovations of ancient Mesopotamia: the development of writing!

Through a hands-on activity, students created their own clay tablets and used cuneiform, one of the world’s earliest writing systems, to inscribe secret messages. How cool is that? 🤫✍️

This creative experience helped students discover how writing transformed civilization, allowing people to record information, preserve knowledge, and leave behind clues that help us understand the ancient world today.

🎶🎵 Music Class Happenings 🎵🎶

There’s always something to sing, play, and discover in music class at SMCA!

🥚 Preschool: Our littlest musicians shook things up with shaker eggs! They sang a song about a chicken and played a freeze dance game, practicing their best freeze while keeping those eggs completely quiet. Talk about a fun challenge! 🐔🎶

🎹 Elementary Music: Students took a mini field trip to the chapel to meet the piano! They explored the strings inside, discovered how string length and thickness affect sound, and learned how hammers strike the strings while dampers stop their vibrations. They even explored how the piano pedals change the sound. What a hands-on musical discovery!

🎄 1st & 2nd Grade: Christmas program preparations are officially underway! Our students are learning songs, motions, and even memorizing their lines. With only SIX school weeks until the program, these young performers have plenty to practice. The Christmas excitement is building!

🎼 3rd Grade: It was a musical matching challenge! Each student had either a letter name or a note on the treble clef and had to find their matching partner by identifying the correct note. Learning music theory takes teamwork, too!

🎸 4th Grade: Our ukulele players are getting started! Students are learning to tune their instruments, memorize the strings (G, C, E, A), and play their first chord: C! Their handy reminder? “Goats Can Eat Anything!” 🐐 They’re discovering that making music takes patience, practice, and determination.

🥁 5th Grade: Students explored music from different cultures, including Native American musical traditions featuring drums, vocables, and wooden flutes. They even tried a rhythmic drumming activity, putting their learning into practice!

From tiny shakers to ukulele strings, our Mustangs are growing in confidence, creativity, and musical knowledge every week. We can’t wait to see (and hear!) what they learn next! 🎶🐴❤️ by @smcamustangs

🌎🎈Mapping the World, One Coordinate at a Time 📍

Our middle school Earth Science students brought their map skills to life in a fun, hands-on way! As they wrapped up their map unit, students plotted latitude and longitude on balloons to create their very own globes. 🌍 by @smcamustangs

🎨🐴 Christ, Creativity, and Mustang Spirit! ❤️

This year, our secondary students traded banners for posters in our annual class spirit competition! Each class was challenged to incorporate a portion of Psalm 121, Mustang spirit, and a sense of community into an original design.

Students were evaluated on artistic merit, class participation, class spirit, originality, and, most importantly, demonstrating Christ-like behavior throughout the creative process.

🐴2026 Family Fun Night🔥

What an incredible evening filled with laughter, entertainment, delicious food, and Mustang pride!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success and to all who came out to enjoy a night of fellowship as one big Mustang family.

Our pep rallies brought the energy, excitement, and Mustang pride as students and staff came together to celebrate what makes our school community so special!
